The trailer got me hooked, so I went bought a copy of the novel. I'm three chapters in and I'm hooked.

Anybody read the book or is interested in watching the show when it debuts on April 30?

Oh, that's Bilquis/The Queen of Sheba ... just reading that part was wild as hell...

@chocolate_topaz I loved the book. Took me a week to finish it.

I just finished binge watching this series. I must read the book. Some of it went over my head but I got the gist of it all. This is a good series for those who think a lot about different faiths and religions, what is real and/or not real.

And mane, that scene with Mr. Anansi on the ship, telling those slaves to burn the mf down! That was very very deep! A lot to gather mentally from that scene...mane!
