Amazon Prime Air: Delivery by Drones Could Arrive As Early as 2015

It is I...Yes it is...
For the next few weeks UPS, FedEx and the U.S. Postal Service will be working overtime to make sure you get your holiday gifts on time, but if Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos gets his way, in the future, it might be delivery drones working those extra hours.

In an interview with CBS's "60 Minutes" on Sunday evening, Bezos unveiled Amazon Prime Air, a service that delivers packages via autonomous drones. With the service, Bezos said he hopes that the company will be able to deliver packages into customers hands within 30 minutes of the time they place an order.

The package is pulled off the lines by the octocopter, and then using GPS it is directed to the delivery address. When it arrives it releases the package on the doorstep. Because the octocopter has eight blades, Bezos said, if one broke the drone would still be able to safely drop off a package. As many have remarked, it looks like something out of the Jetsons.

I can see this as a huge issue for some of us.
 
I can see some redneck Bubba in the south shooting these things down with his 12 gauge shot gun thinking it is an alien coming to attack the south. :lmao:

I can also see cats shooting these things down to steal the merchandise.

You shole is right Cee Dog. Hell my own country arse black neck cousins in the SIP would do the same isht though. LOL. I can hear them mofos now. "Uh Blue(one of my cousins) what the fugg is that isht bruh", Blue responds " Looks like damn big arse bird or some isht these crazy white folks be flying trying to attack us Ray Ray (my other cousin). Ray Ray is like " Man don't sit there waiting for mofo to land and isht. Let's blow that beyotch up." I can see both of them mofos pulling out their multiple guns and shooting that isht up. LOL. Especially if they were sitting outside with them drinks.
 
I see we all see the flaw in this delivery system in this country.
People are going to shoot those things down. Everytime you see one, you know it is loaded with goods. Bubba, Leroy, KIlla X, and MUFFY down the street are going to be blasting at those things. :lol:
 
Right and when they start fuggin' those drones up, a new model with cameras will record and detect who shot one of them down. Next, it will give law enforcement an idea to fly drones on a regular. Now that will cause a serious uproar with some people.
 
I can see some ****** in the hood trying to steal the drone....then once they steal it figure out a way to make the MOFO deliver weed.:lol:

Law Enforcement in many urban areas are always flying drones.

Yep.................. When they was searching in the woods and rual area neighborhoods. LAPD and the border patrol have very small drones about the size of a model airplane that can be carried around in the trunk and released at will during searches.
