Well at least no one at Alcorn will get their hopes up ... they didn't have any NFL prospects anyway from what I've seen.

Pro day is just another useless dick-measuring element to HBCU sports culture. The same scouts who went to a pro day have already seen a majority of what they need to see by discreetly attending games and practices. Pro days are simply to verify measurements to add to a prospect's information file, period.

and so they can see who shows up to support the players so they can use them as background witnesses. At this point, most scouts are acting like private investigators.

It would be more beneficial if the SWAC and MEAC had a combined pro day. Sort of like the NFL combine. The big names would bring in the scouts and everyone would get a chance to be seen. Seems like a win win.
