I am sick and tired of being sick and tired. You want Alumni to support you in football but keep doing stupid shit. That 2014 Schedule is unacceptable. I am downright embarrassed. You should take pride in wanting to carry the conference mantle against MEAC opponents. And it is simple business 101: why pay $20-$25 to see an opposing team that 1) Fans have never heard of, 2) WE PAY TO PLAY THESE TEAMS!!!!! 3) See #2, 4) See #2 Again, 5) Once Again, See #2 6) we are already suppose to beat. We are paying these teams to come play but still have poor attendance. Wake up Alcornites ...we don't average 10,000-20,000 a home game. You have to spend money to make money but that only be for amenities. We are already in the hole having to pay these teams. People are going to stay tailgating instead of buying a ticket to the game.

And you knows what's even sadder? We have 7 home games with two against teams we have never heard of. But for some reason, when we get a team that will draw (Ahem...GRAMBLING). We move the damn game OUT OF STATE!?!?!

Our administration needs to take some courses in strategic management. As the famous Alcorn shirt once said, "I'M SICK OF THIS SHIT".

BTW: How do we know SU and JSU games will be big draws this year? For all we know, Worm and Jackson could be 0fer by the time they play us.

It is April 16th, 2014. Alcorn better be filling out the 2015 Football Schedule.

I have been accused by some Alcornites as hating my own school. This is not true. I only want the best for Alcorn. But Alcornites have to understand: Success does not fall in your lap. You have to reach out and take it.

Now Grambling is playing Bethune-Cookman, Alabama State is playing TN State, JSU is playing FAMU and TN State, Valley played FAMU last year and SC State one year. Texas Southern played Howard. PV played Stephen F. Austin.

I hope Alcorn Administration is filling out the 2015 Schedule NOW. And do right by people: if TN State or FAMU comes to Lorman in 2015, we should do right and travel to their home stadiums the next year. Don't do mess trying to get out of that game. And leave the damn Grambling alone.

It is time Alcorn to stop hiding and represent the conference just like everyone else. We need to get our hands dirty like everyone else. That is one thing I have respected about all the other SWAC Schools: they don't go hiding or try to "buddy up" to an opposing fan base before a game. They let be known to opposing teams OUTSIDE the SWAC that they are going to kick their ass too.

Alcorn must focus on this season first before thinking ahead. One must remember Alcorn hasn't been good in Football in a long time, that means the program has basically been paralyzed. With that being said, you gotta learn how to walk again before you start running....

Braveheart123 has a true and valid point Alcorn and every other SWAC school should be spending sometime right now trying to set their 2015 non-conference schedule...any good AD worth his pay should be in negotiations for the 2015 right now and have that non-c schedule set by the start of the 2014 anything less is not good business at all and even though this is the SWAC it is still a business and it helps your fan base at the same time to plan ahead!

uuum, I am sure your schedule is full. You have 9 SWAC games so then your coach will just call Lilly of the Valley University and the Louisiana Women's College to fill the other two slots to inflate the record again.

Alcornites, talk about BH123 all you wanna, but he's right on this one. Alcorn needs to start scheduling "quality" HBCU schools. I haven't seen Alcorn play FAMU, Bethune, Tenn State, SC State or NC A&T in years. That's almost inexcusable.

Uhhhh he does this every time he has a problem with alcorn... He mentions jsu more than any other swac school besides alcorn. As for the topic, all SWAC schools should have their schedules set up to 2016 RIGHT NOW.

Good Post BH. S.U. has had UGA locked in for 2015 for a couple of years. I don't remember if that NWST was for 2 or 4 years, so we may already have 2015 schedule complete. I would be working right now to get out of that UGA game. :lol: :emlaugh: I'm not sure how 2016 is going but last I heard ULM discussion were being tossed around, not sure if that deal has been done yet or fell apart. We may have 2015 & 16 locked up though.

anyhow...like jrock said..our OOC schedule for 2015 was done a few yrs ago we scheduled UGA during stumps 2nd year.
 
Well Grambling's schedule is finished:
Go to California to play the Cal Bears
Bethune-Cookman makes a visit to the Hole
We play Alcorn in Las Vegas

Why does scheduling 2 games in 2015 would seem so difficult for Alcorn?

Grambling has it's 2015 opponents already unless something changes. Right now we have University of Colorado away and Bethune Cookman comes to Grambling in 2015. In 2016 we are scheduled to play Arizona State.
