Coach Prime won't take these money games until he feels we are ready. We were offered a mill to play and declined.

It was definitely sickening watching bama state get roughed up. Hopefully they made it out injury free.

He can afford to do that. Most of our programs need the money. He has brought money to JSU. Many of our grads and supporters consider tickets to football and / or basketball their contribution to their universities.

Trust me I know all too well as we've played these money games in the past. Hopefully y'all made it out healthy
 
Hell, Auburn dropped sixty points on Akron last weekend, and they are D-1. So, they did all they could do for a FCS team.

I really wish, the A.D. would have not took the game. But....

I am sure that he will take some FBS games, but vs lower tier G5 programs. JSU’s alumni has been bringing in some impressive 💰 figures from what I have been told.

FBS & FCS are both D-1. The difference in the two are the amount of scholarships provided. I know what you meant though.
 
The bottom line is that very few of our schools are bringing in that type of extra money. PVAMU, AAMU, Howard, NCAT and a few others have brought in money from grads and corporations.

Its nice to make these proclamations that it should not happen, but the need for money is the reality. I would like to see some real solutions (not the fantasy - "should")!

Unfortunately this source of funding for smaller programs will go away over the next few years (with the push for more competitive games from the power 5 to drive TV / Streaming numbers). I hope the friends and grads step up to support our universities.

I think Ezra Grey being compromised might make things a little difficult for your offense. The offense is built to run through him. Nettles is not quite mature yet to be asked to drop back and pass 35-45 times…. But I think the jury is out on him but time is running out. Defense is looking good.

The bottom line is that HBCUs have forgotten how to make our own money by using the HBCU Football/Band Experience. It’s not a difficult as some are making it.

We have other running backs that can produce. Transfer Georgia Southern, Syracuse, Navy and Mississippi State are on the roster as RBs and able to play. OC doesn't know how to use his weapons
