I really don't understand why JSU is being brought up in this topic when the title clearly doesn't mention them at all.

My thoughts exactly. This is about the TOP contenders in the East. Not someone hoping to make .500 this year.

I just hope we can find a way to slow down Bama St O and also find a way to score on that strong Defense

LUCKY for you, the BCU game was called off. Now you have 5 games and you only have a chance at beating 4-5 of them.... and NO, you won't beat JSU.

You don't know who the contenders are after one game. You're just hoping and guessing.
And when you mention SCG in the title, you automatically introduce ALL SWAC teams from the East. Blame the person who worded the thread, not one of the messengers who mentioned one of the teams vying for the SCG title.

Over the past 3 years, Alcorn and ASU have won the most games in the East. We know these two programs have been consistent in having a winning season. Why would a person even predict to JSU after the past 2 seasons you guys have had?

Right, as for the game Bama St has a very good QB and RB. Defense did a solid job against our run last year so I know they are capable

What does history have to do with how the teams are doing right now? PV struggled 25 years ago but look where they are at now. JSU was near the top of the SWAC 25 years ago but look where they are at. Predictions aren't based on 25 years ago. They are based on what you have done lately
 
History will tell if it's going to last. And who brought up 25 years? Bama State hasn't won the SWAC East in how many years?
 



Just cringe at the thought you want to swing from Alcorns success when Bama St hasn't did anything in the last 3 years.
