Okay I got it now... They renovated the cramton bowl now they are almost finished with a completely new foot ball stadium for the hornets. So why cant barlow get a better contract
 
It's all about consistency. He needs to be consistent when it comes to: 1.) beating our rivals 2.) Having a winning a record 3.) Winning the SCG and 4.) Making sure the student-athletes are handling their business in the classroom. Case closed.

I might bump his assistants pay but I'd leave him where he is for now. he continues to get the job done then he'll get his.

Simply put Barlow did nothing to earn the job and has not done anything to keep the job. Other than the chairman of the BOT's there are few people in his corner. He shold have been fired after homecoming 2009. There are a lot of us who feel that we should cut his salary and give it to the assistants. If he were to quit 2 minutes before kickoff on opening day I would :happydance:in my seat.

Barlow will leave on his own accord. He has indicated he is tired of the BS from the fans and does not have to tolerate it.

Barlow can coach Bama St in the Magic City Classic any day. We at AAMU thank him for the great job he is doing. :clap:
 
barlow is not doing a bad job. in fact he's done pretty well. he was green as a blade of grass when he got there, but he's maturing as a coach. i believe the guys like to play for him and assistants like to work for him. he managed the team through probation and has posted back to back winning seasons and almost took out eastern mi last season. his team last year wasn't great but was fundamentally sound and didn't self destruct like most every other team in the swac. now he's got the best facilities in the swac to recruit with. lets see what he's able to do.

You sound like one of the A&M guys who want Barlow to stay because he can easily be outcoached.

Major095, most football fans at the other swac institutions recognize what you have stated. The fans and alums of A&M know this more than the others. They see what's going on in Montgomery and will mast their concerns with comments about their recent dominance in the MCC. However, they also know the history of the MCC is cyclical and their dominance in the game will not last whether Barlow is the coach or not.
 
what cycle? ... i wouldn't call winning 6 of the last 7 MCC's a "cycle"...u dont realize it yet but A&M will have our foot on Bama State's neck for awhile... we dont plan on letting up on yall any time soon lol

we have made it a yearly tradition to beat yall azz in the MCC aka the BIGGEST classic in BCF....:lol:

during the 1990s Bama State won 8 out of 10. We won 6 straight 1990 - 1995. That's what I mean by cyclical. The recent probation period contributed to y'all recent success. That will change just as it has in the Alabama/Auburn matchup. Auburn dominated Alabama while it recovered from that NCAA probation. Change is on the way. You can count on it. Enjoy your recent success.

JC kill that shit.... 1990 to 1995 WE WERE D2.... u was suppose to kick our ass.. Probation aint have nothing to do with nothing... we was kicking LC ass before you were on probation..... we will kick your ass next year too.

facilties and recruting dont exactly go hand in hand.... in that case Texas SO nor PV would have ever won a championship.... Valley has the WORST gym in the SWAC and undefeated...

LOL...Y'all boasting remind me of another swac rivalry of our. D-2 had/has a recruiting advantage. Each team has won 11 games in the past 22 MCC. That doesn't sound like domination to me. Bama State playing with 30 less scholarships covering 2004 - 2009 didn't affect the program? Are you kidding me? BTW, We had the better team this past year. The only reason y'all won was due to our QB being injured and our #2 was not prepared by the staff for the game. I blame Barlow for that. Y'all luck has run out. Count on it.

Since when is there a big rift between D2 and D1 in BCF football though? lol.. hardly any difference at all even with the number of scholarships.
 
JC you keep contradicting yourself...... so being on probation hurt you (as far as scholarships).... but being D2 (with less scholarships than ASU) wasnt suppose to hurt AAMU? Please stop with the excuses and just says we been kicking your ass..... You dont hear nobody using any excuses explaining the way Bama state been kicking our ass in basketball.
