Alabama A&M vs Tuskegee: Game Updates - 1:00pm CT

Nice job A&M, but it seems that the MEAC is heads and shoulders above the SWAC in football with Jackson barely beating FAMU and A&M getting beat by A&T, good way to rebound A&M and against a quality opponent.

I think it's too early to make that assessment. We really don't know how good jsu, AAMU or Skegee is at this point.

Good point! We are playing too many freshman and sophs with a new coaching staff to even be in any ball game. We are one season away from being competitive.

I hate you Skegee
This some bull
They must really be down this year
Damn this week is going bad so far

Looks like AAMU had two good plays and Im sure Skeegee plays that D2 man to man defense. ...and on those two plays they were no match for AAMU's stable. :snicker:

But good win AAMU. Skegee can't be THAT bad.

Tuskegee struggles in 30-17 opening loss to Alabama A&M

Ethan Bernal, Montgomery Advertiser 6:06 p.m. CDT September 6, 2014

Hosting an Division I-AA opponent for the first time under head coach Willie Slater, Tuskegee hoped to start the season as they did last year: with a win over Alabama A&M.

Instead, Tuskegee looked out-of-sync and rusty in falling to the Bulldogs 30-17 on Saturday.

"We had breakdowns everywhere. I don't think there's a position that we didn't have a breakdown," Slater said. "We have to get better as a team, not just one individual or one group. We just have to get better as a whole team."

Tuskegee quarterback Justin Nared was 12-for-29 passing for 217 yards and two touchdowns, but 144 of his yards came in the first half.

SWAC folks always pick TU over us. We don't lose to TU like Bama St does. TU beats us every once in the while, but we usually get the ups on them.
