LOL....

Let's just say

JSU pulled some nice songs out for the 5th... I was impressed...

but I won't say who "I" think the winner is.... yet

 Hell they both won. nah just kidding.
but they both played dayum near the same songs all day.
its like band B was saying to band A, you played this song first and earlier this year but we are gonna play it tonight and dare you to play it after us. :smh:

I was pleased with JSU's song selection from Pregame all the way to the 5th.
Great sound! keep up the hard work!

I agree with they both won....Why does there always have to be a "winner/loser"..... but I will say as far as song selection/strategy SU was just better. For example when SU played "Whateva you like".... the ENTIRE crowd (both sides) went wild.... JSU played it right after SU and the JSU faithful was the only ones standing. Same thing with the Lil Wayne exchange. (I think SU played Ms. Officer and JSU may have played Mr. Carter).... BUT JSU clearly took the Coming to America battle with the crunk drum break at the beginning (that ish had everybody bouncin).... reminded me of a rasta version of Coming to America at the beginning. I wasnt dissapointed by either band though.

The only thing that SU left me hanging on was the "Gangsta Bia/Go Home"at the end of the game. I could have SWORN I was going to hear it as soon as the final horn went off, like JSU usually does.

Props to both bands though.

I was thinking the same thing DAHILL. As soon as SU score the last touchdown I thought the jukebox was going to play it and then I thought maybe after the final seconds go off the clock they will playit. GO HOME but they play the fight song and dear southern. Thanks to the bus driver and old people on my bus staying at Ryan trying to eat I miss the pregame.

yeah Mr. J missed that 1........but all in all the Heavy Weights went at it strong.......hell Halftime was one of the best I've seen in a while......jabs at eachother and good sound....man that was the sh*t.....i enjoyed myself......The two heavy weights did their thang......

Both bands did a superb job...but I comment on "DA S." Great song selection, along with perfect timing. Don't nobody get offensive and bite my head off, but Da Jukes got the slight edge to me. Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong, but the Tevin Campbell song is like an instant classic to me. I don't know who played it first this season, but SU's arrangement sounded like I was sitting back at crib trying to get my groove on with a fine female with a $5,000 stereo blasting that ish( cut it out mellos  ). The gospel tune was wonderful also (congrats b-tones). Oh, and don't let me leave out the SWV cut....THAT WAS HOT :angry: ! It felt like JSU was trying to push the issue with power songs, but SU held their ground with their groovy, smooth tunes. Half time was great from both bands. I can go on and on, but I'll let someone else fill in the blanks.

My thought goes as follows. Both bands are on it this year. I really enjoyed talking trash to the JSU fans!!!!! I was very impressed with both bands last night. I don't think that people need to get on here and moan about small things because both made their mistakes! For me personally, I think the major difference for me was song selection which is why i give the edge to da U. I personally enjoyed SU's song selection much better the entire night especially in the fifth. "Never Would of Made It", SWV cut, etc... was really nice!!!!

Both half times shows were awesome. Both bands had a few errors in their drill. Now The Prancin J-Settes took the Dolls to school on the field!!!! I really hope ALL bands stop the gimmicks on each other..... including su and jsu. The Get Ready gimmick from SU and now JSU with Do Watcha Wanna. However, both fans went crazy! lol!

As far as the fifth, I wish JPD wouldn't have made the Juke leave but the same thing happens @ SU now and most places. All and all, good battle.
Both bands can't be touched by anyone else. I give SU the nod for song selection.

I concur! I was all ready for it; I was counting it off in my head, but it never happened. However, I am not too upset about it! It only would have been icing on the cake, IMHO!

Props to both bands, but I must say, some work and attention to detail needs to be done to both bands drills.

From a neutral standpoint, I enjoyed both bands in the pregame and halftime...would like to see the get ready skit dropped though...I think SU definitely took the 5th this year....Song selection was good by JSU, but SU had the better song selection, sound was crazy, and nobody can hang with Dr. J with those dang arrangements, I felt like I was listening to Max 94.1 when they broke our Mrs. Officer during the game....that shat was smoking

I totally agree, but I have a few questions......

#1. Why in the world did the home team need to go down onto the field with 9:45 left in the first half? I mean, that's another 20-30 minutes game time!

#2 What's up with all the dance squads in the stands? Including the "male" J-Sette or whatever yall call that mess..... I personally call it a SHAM (Schitty Hot Arse Mess) :vomit:

But the song selection is what put my beloved Jukebox over the top! That My My My was just the beginning of the snowball effect for the rest of the game..... Just my $0.02

I had an awesome time. Both bands sounded great. Loved SU's strategy and song selection. Glad to catch up with alot of people I hadn't seen in a long time. Have a safe trip back to those traveling.

Based on the clips I'm giving the edge to JSU for the first time in a LONG time. *The Clips up don't have what happened "during" the game so it's quite possible SU cleaned JSU's clock during the game or vice versa, Idunno. Both bands were good but I thought JSU had a more entertaining halftime and was a lil cleaner in the stands. MY UNBIASED opinion based on "Clips" I wasn't there. The clips o seem to be good quality clips though.

I am not going to pick a winner because both bands were off the chain. I still love that running thing JSU does at the start of thier half time show, and they can always close out the halftime show crunk with that "JSU rocks the House"

exactly, i really enjoyed the BOOM. They gave me what I needed. I enjoyed Su's band as well. Not once did I think to myself "who is the better band" b/c they both were 100% entertaining on yesterday.

Again, Good Job BOOM  Y'all had me SUPER KRUNK! :rolly::rolly::rolly:
I dayum near jumped over the rail during that Coming To America joint! :lmao:
and DAHILL, i saw you walking around looking LOST as heyal during the Zero Qtr. LOL
Where did you end up sitting?

I had a dayum good time... Good seeing all you folk I ran into.. CJ was chillin in the cut in the middle, didn't see him till I heard..."JARED!?!?"..lol... Saw dayum near everyone else under JSU band....

I loved the song selections.... Very entertaining....

Jared? Wait a minute man, I was waiting on you to critisize us. :-) You must be getting old. I am kidding with you man. Great entertainment all the way through. I enjoyed both bands and I give a W to JSU on the halftime mainly because it was pretty cool to break out with Do whatcha wanna and get the crowd going. Both were good. I give the W to SU on song selection.....they pretty much get the nod always with selection. Both bands sounded just absolutely awesome. I have never heard PV so I have to say, these are the two best bands in the land hands down.

A GREAT time was had by all.... between both bands I think we heard every song from blues, old shool, and rap. It was GREAT!

I thought both bands were excellent and it is what we all come to expect from them both. I may appear a little partial, but Mr. J's arrangements were top notch! That Tevin Campbell "Tell Me What You Want Me To Do" and "Never Would Have Made It" were just SMOKIN!!! Kinda hard to come back on a song where the Jukes utilized some serious dynamics I hadn't heard in some time...but then again...I only hang around for the 5th when its J5U vs SU.

And oh...I like the Tiger Run...always did...its J5U people!!!!

Great job to all!

*We'll overlook the halftime flubs by both. That was uncharacteristic of both bands, but this was probably one of the biggest games some folks have ever played in....*

Agree to everything above. Both bands did a great job. No shocker really. We are all tired of halftime gimmicks but these two made it feel like an old school halftime battle. lol. Yall saw the J-Settes with the umbrellas, but yall are sleeping on the white gloves they had on though. lol.

It was great seeing all of you cats. I am dead tired. It's on to Pine Bluff. We are going to stop at Walmart on the way and see if they have any offense on sale. If you want to piss off a quiet old person...sit them in the middle of the JSU student section and tell the Boom to play Coming to America. lol. This old cat walked out cussing. Somebody knocked over his boiled peanuts. "WHAT, WHAT, WHAT, WHAT"

p.s. After that last SU touchdown we instructed our DM's to play GO HOME on top of SU WHEN they played it. lol. Cause we were CERTAIN yall would play it. Mr. Jackson was slipping on that one. I think all of the SU folx that stayed int he stands were there just to chant GO HOME and he didn't play it. lol.

maaaaaaan, i think i got shin splints from jumping up and down so hard. :smh:
i'm gonna hold the BOOM responsible for getting me TOO KRUNK! Liddell gonna pay my medical bill

i loved every second.

and boy o'boy did the BOOM and Jukbox take me back with those Kixie107fm jams.:headphone

su: my my my, weak, tell me what you want me to do
jsu: taxi, motown philly, you remind me of my jeep, slow jam, tell me what you want me to do.

i was loving it!

lol... that had to be before SU band came... I was talking to Aaron and Gwine (Jamal) beside JSU's band at the VERY bottom then went to the horeshoe.... and I saw yo ass jumpin up and down like a SLAVE during Coming to America lol... I think that JSU Coming to America will be a JSU staple from now on... the beginning of that was CRUNK.
