That is a good question. Why would any real musician continue to converse with a man who still haven't told me what comstitutes a deceptive cadence. A person like you only understands power!!!! The louder the band,...the better the band. You would never be able to comprehend the finer nuances of music. That's a new word for you.
Look it up.
I do not agree with your 2 cent opinion on Valley. Over there,.. they know what I mean when I say nuance. When are ignorant people like youself going to realize that there is more to music than just loud arse simple chords and syncopation in unisom? Do you know what that means? I appreciate what Valley is doing with the music as well as Grambling. I'm about the music!!!! I don't care who is playing it!!!

sigh.... dude, i have more music in my pinky finger than you do in your whole body. ... smh. LMAO @ the fact that you typed "NUANCES" in SIZE 10 FONT. LMAO.... Newsflash: that's not a big/new word outside of Grambling, LA. ... neither is the understanding of deceptive candences.... We hear deceptive cadences throughout all of your arrangements that end on the IV chord instead of the tonic in major keys. LMAO.

smh....this dude said all I think about is "power"....

p.s. You asked if I know what UNISOM was....... To answer that.... NO...... PLEASE TELL ME WTF IS "UNISOM". LMAO. Just stop while you are ahead dude. .... please.

lol@ "simple chords" in marching band arrangements.

You sad little man!
I see you have tried to read a few books but, you still come short of the cookie. :slap:
BTW it's unison but, you probably don't know what that means as well.

Grambling the good and the bad

Sound has improved a lot from last year but the lower brass is killing the rest of the band. In the 5th quarter I like how yall played it safe and played within your means and didnt try to do any unnecessary screaming and such like in other years until that last song yall played and those trumpets messed up a bit but yall played within your means and it was an ok showing, nothing exciting about it. Also i like the version of "Neck" and "Dont funk with my heart", but please burn "party dont stop" and "hootie hoo lol..In the stands yall had more umph than i thought yall would have beeing as small as you were. Fieldshow OMG, that was worst than the fieldshow yall did in 05. I really hate that yall practiced and extra hour everyday for the fieldshow yall did because if so that was a waste of time. I will never understand why yall dance while your dancing girls are being featured because the sound is all over the place, its like yall doing way too much. The lil duffle bag boy gimmick was horrible and Im still tryna figure out why the fat dudes were dancing to "Im so HOOD" in church attire lol. Somebody clue me in please. The best part of the show was the GSU chant coming off the field, and im serious.

JSU the bad - The lines for both GSU and JSU were horrible, as Robber said can we get some straight lines. In the beginning of the season the lines were pretty good but now they are off at times. Its this one fat @ss dude in the middle who cant keep up with the line to save his life and he gets on my nerve because he is too fat and too noticeable to be out of line, I know yall done see his lil fat @ss lol. Other than the lines being off at times and the half marching from some band members everything is else is good. So i want go into the good because i will be typing all day lol.

Ok i was wondering if i'd missed something. I know what "unison" is...just not unisoM. thanx for clearing that up. Guess that whole little post turned out to be a deceptive cadence since it didnt end how you expected it to... o well... in typical gramblin' fashion.

 Even I had :lmao: on that one!

Yeah,...your name suits you fine because you are a noise talker but still are clueless to music. Stop beating down these young people.

no sir... i'm far from clueless on music... just clueless on what the hell unisom is. That's probably how Panell pronounces it though. lol.

You knew what he meant. Just another example of people taking the little things too far.

roadblock... HE is the one who opened the "you don't know music" bag... NOT ME. That's what we do at JSU... You start sh*t ... we finish it... and I beg to differ... The LITTLE THINGS are what set you apart... Maybe if GSU understood that, they'd have a better band.

I'm just sayin'.... It's interesting that you'd mention the "little things".

i agree with you on this for some of the things. but the practicing an extra hour thing is a lie. we practice the same amount for any game or show. yea it was whack but both shows were really whack so what about that. thats why you are to show up in the stands and do what you need to do. and i think that both bands did so. the 5th in my opinion went to GSU, not that they just blew JSU out but when you are playing things that not even older people know as well as the young something is wrong. it was supposed to be 5 and out, but JSU i guess got the feeling that they didnt do what they expected and played 3 more songs. good game guys.

Larry Pannell's comments in Friday's Clarion Ledger:

"We normally practice from 3:30 to 6:30 p.m. every day. But leading up to the Jackson State game, we're practicing an extra hour or two."

Hmmmm,....
I kinda expected more of you.

Since you put it out there like that,...let me tell you also. I am World Famed and I don't give a crap about what you like and don't like about the band I came from. I understand the history and you don't. These young people work real hard and they need our support and constructive comments. They don't need this continued trashing!!!
I don't know WHY you expected MORE of me........ I tell it from MY VIEW which should matter to NO ONE! If you don't like it - oh well. I promise you won't die because of MY OPINION cause I sho'll ain't caring about yours. The routine needs work.

Didn't see that one comin' ... :read:

Uh, Noise Talka, UNISOM is sleep medicine, FYI ... :retard:

i expect more out of you fortitude....

*snicker*

It was a typo error.

The M is right next to the N on the keyboard!

Let's move on

Yea... and E flat is right next to E natural... See that's yall's problem at Grambling... You just say... It don't matter. LOL.

What are you playing..? You know it's E flat right?
Well I played E natural.. it's right next to E flat... it don't matter...

Naw,

I found your statement a little messy. So what you don't like our white shoes and what's up with the circus drum bit? What does that have to do with the routine? That's just ,...

since i am apart of the band i should know what time we practice. Doc is gone say what he wants, if you dont know, he is like a gimmic rapper. he tells you what you want to hear. 3:30-6:30 is band class. then we practice from 7-9, everyday. talk what you know. its like the press messing stuff up about stars.

Did a real musician tell you that as well? Keep on talking the talk yet, can't walk it. Noise Talka? :a joke:

You still know nothing about music.

Messy - uhhhh....... NO! Truth from MY point of view - uhhhh........ YES. Not everyone would agree though as they are NOT required to.

The shoes and the circus drum were IN the Grambling routine that I made my comments about.

it was a direct qoute....

all the practice and for what???

lol

Quizno's Chicken Carbanara is OFF THE CHAIN

That was a direct quote from your band director and not something i just made up so if its a lie then your band director is a liar lol. And you dont seriously believe what you said about GSU being better than JSU any portion of this game lol. This was not even a comparison in terms of which band was better, this was like JSU vs a good highschool band. Like I said earlier GSU played within their means and very safe and had an ok sound, nothing yall played got oooooouuu'ss and oooooowwwwwlllss from the crowd, it was nothing good nor bad it was just alright. And what did JSU play that neither old people or young people knew, lets see "maneater" nelly furtado, im sure young people knew that. "Im dreaming" everybody knew that. "Meeting in my bedroom" everybody knew that. "Swoop" most band peeps know that. "Its No Crime" everybody know that. "Makes me Wonder" young people know that. "Poison" everybody know that. "Down home blues" everybody and they grandma know that, so i dont know what you talking about.

Da hell them sammiches got to do with white shoes, bass drums, and sleep medicine? I'm lost as hell in this thread?

Anyway, you're both wrong, that spicyish beef sammich is the best thing at Quiznos, AND the one here still sells those cookies! Think I'll have it all for lunch tomorrow!

If it ain't raining! :uhoh:

I'm done! :wavey:
