Ackley, Skipper earn All-America honors

This is very embarrassing for the SWAC.

Much like the deal w/ Bruce Eugene a few years ago. Pitiful.

So bush league.

Pan it was a down year and the so called great Meac with its highly rated team only placed one player. it's a 22 member team and no one had a standout year in the Swac. You know the App State and Youngstowns are gonna dominate this list each year the only way we add more is we have several outstanding players who are nominated each week in 1-AA.

Not that shaw. :)

This is regarding the SWAC voting SU's Ackley to the 2nd team punter and he was a consensus All-American 1st team. :retard: How do you rationalize your conference not voting someone who's all-american 1st team to it's conference 1st team?

Stupid.

3 players from one conference makes it a down year? I'm not understanding. How many do you think from the SWAC should make the All-American team for it to NOT be a down year.

I told you he was going to be a All American and that guy Cyler is no where in the top 50 in the country.

Congrats go out to Mr Breck Ackley

One team that Ackley will not be on (as a punter anyway) is the Sports Network, who only considers 1st team all-conference players. Rashan Cylar is on the Sports Network ballot. I wonder how many votes he'll get.

Ackley did make 1st team All-SWAC kicker, but his numbers there don't merit All-American consideration.

Cylar? Aint that the dude on Heroes that's killing all the superpowered people?

:topic:

my bad..congrets Breck and Stacey....

CONGRATS to the SWAC All-Americans, their teams, programs and schools!

Great job for SWAC to place THREE players on a 22-member squad when there are FIFTEEN Division I-AA ("Championship") conferences.

However, I agree with Panthro that the SWAC not picking Ackley first team punter makes us, especially the SIDs and coahces who voted, look like incompetent idiots. :shame:

How can we expect to be respected when we do things like that?

I prefer to think about the accomplishments of all the great student-athletes in the SWAC, despite the obstacles.
