I didn't see anything wrong with playing the song. Sometimes you have to meet people where they are. I've been to churches where the preacher has let the band play James Brown instrumentals. He liked hearing the horns. I've gone to churches where the paster played songs to minister to the youth.
Churches around here have been a joke. From Creflo setting up shop in one of the poorest areas of the city and raking in the cash to Eddie Long running a joke of a church and that same church hiring Jamal Bryant, the "pastor" that said he was down with using the church property to grow weed. This type nonsense is why I haven't been inside of a church in 20 years because the smaller ones aren't much different. Ride down Bankhead and bust a left on Hamilton E Homes and ride up about a mile. You'll see 2 huge ass churches that dwarf the rest of that whole area. Go back down Bankhead and bust a right on Lowery and the first noticeable building you'll notice will be a big ass church on the left about a quarter mile down. Area has been a food desert since the one grocery store by Center Hill closed 10 years ago though. Even after Eddie was messin with them boys those folks still stayed right there with no fucks given.
