Yep that was the final straw, but even after that, there has been ridiculous decision after decision that has been made by the Board that could have helped bring the College back. As others have mentioned there have been offers to use the stadium and offers to funnel money into the school that would have at least stabilized it and brought it back. I think the last people to use the stadium was the Atlanta Beat, a women's professional soccer team for a couple of seasons. Attendance was low, because of the location and the team moved out to Kennesaw State, who had built a stadium and then I think the league folded. Enrollment has finally dwindled, but up until a few years ago they were still having classes and commencements at an unaccredited school. Never could figure why a person would go there. :noidea: But I think last year they couldn't pay the instructors and had to cut faculty and staff to very little (like 10 - 12 people). The alumni still are some what active. They still have a homecoming every fall and other events. Now I think the biggest gathering on campus is the ATL Greek Picnic during the summer.
But DaHill support those folks, they're just trying to raise funds to keep the memory alive. They're always there. I'm surprised somebody didn't have a band uniform out there!
