The good thing is our church is evolving and what I mean by that is, we are making strides to help people by not forcing the Bible on them but SHOWING them in our actions. That's a spiritual change. Often times older churches want to stick with the traditionalist way of religion but fail to understand that the world since then has changed.

The Bible’s has not change. It’s the interpreters and their interpretation of the Holy Book. That’s the issue with the white mega churches and their leadership giving tRump mulligans for his transgressions.

At the end of the Civil War, Montgomery’s Southern Baptist’s First Baptist Church had more black members than white members. The black members were forced to sit in the balcony. In 1867, the blacks members pulled because of the segregated seating, racist preaching and stoic style of worship and formed the First Baptist Church on Ripley Street. Later, the National Baptist Convention was organized at the church.

In their version of Christianity we (Black folk) were never included in their version of salvation or heaven. So, my question is if that be the case why would you want to worship with someone who has never and will never see you as an equal? You will always be less than in their eyes.

I remember this story a local radio host use to tell about when his uncle had invited this white preacher to a revival his uncle was hosting. Well they allowed the white fellow to "have" some words and he began talking about how he can't wait to get to Heaven and see the apostles...everyone amen!...then he was going to find Moses....every amen!....then he wanted to see Jesus...the church went wild....then he said he was going to walk over to the "Colored Section".

I once was told by an elderly black man that whites believe the black man was made to serve and entertain.

BTW if you want to be real, the world was probably at the most hostile state when it was the most religious lol. Let's not act as if religion hasn't been the largest cause of death and conflict since the beginning of man.
