verto, my "reasons" are similar to yours, so I limited the committment and number of relationships because I did have a child. I purposely stayed single until I found a man that wanted to love me and my son. I see that we also similar in that we are in very significant relationships, but not married. BTW, your sweetie is CUTE, FINE, and NICE! :swink:
I am single now, but I do intent to get married one day, probably when our children are no longer minors. Parenting presents a different and definite level to relationships.

:topic: Thanks, Jackie - I didn't make the package, but I sure help maintain it...:ebrow:

Now back to the topic - I do believe he meets the criterion for a life mate.

Yes, my honey is my life mate, very significant other, "pre" husband, old man all that!

We live in the great state of LOUISIANA. Common law marriages do not exist under our CIVIL LAW regime. :swink: I am NOT MARRIED to that man! :lecture:

JSTUS send help!

LOL...I know... that's why I said that. YOU would come back and see the humor in my statement. hahaha

Amen Incipience...some people get so excited and in love with the idea of being in love and playing house...until they can't take a step back and see that that's exactly what they'll be doing in the long run...adding to the statistics...and possibly ruining several more lives.

But, to each their own...not knocking those who are married...but don't knock me for having some sense and waiting recognizing that I was not ready...I'm a work in progress.:lecture: :)

Yep, my family was hot for days, when I turned downed that proposal... they got over it though...

To be fair...that could be said about every thread on this page that anybody ever started...be it spoon or puddin...except me...I HAVE NO SHORTCOMINGS!:swink:

Yep, and maybe I shouldnt have generalized the statement... but the threads give me great comic relief...:D I thought I was the only perfect one on this piece...:emlaugh:

...the fugg out!! :lmao: :lmao:

Why was his question if I was engaged so funny?

We have chosen to shun the traditional definitions of relationships and thus, instead choose to be unmarried and unbetrothed, but nevertheless committed.
