A Prayer for the 2014-2015 Athletic Season!

Dear Lord,

Another season is upon us and we simply take the time to say thank you. We thank you for our lives, health, and strength. We also thank you for the opportunity to represent the institutions that we are connected with. Thank you for the old and new friendships. Thank you for the spirit of friendly competition between schools that pushes us all to do better. Thank you for the laughter that reminds us all that we are not perfect and that we are living in your grace. We lift up all of the athletes to you as they compete. We speak that they will handle their business on the field, on the courts, but more importantly in the classroom. We cover our athletes on the field physically. If anyone should get hurt, we claim your healing power will work itself through. Last but not least we pray for someone in the midst of all activities and events to get to know and accept Jesus as their personal savior. In Jesus name this is my prayer...Amen

....we further ask Lord, that you keep our athletes, coaches, fans, family, supporters covered as they travel, Lord, traveling grace. Father, please bless the transportation mode in which they will travel, whether it be by bus, airplane, whatever. Let it be reliable and in good condition. We ask your for Your traveling grace upon the drivers/pilots responsible for transporting our teams, keep them alert and focused. And again, we thank You Lord for allowing us the opportunity to see another football season, and thank You for all your blessings. In the name of Jesus, thank you Lord......Amen!
