People cant afford to be outside like that these days! Everything too damn expensiveOutside of us, these some sorry homecoming numbers.

Look at Norfolk
Would instantly catapult PV into ~20K #, considering Jag stadium @ PV campus capacity is 15K.They made "tailgaters" buy game tickets. Not a bad idea

AAMU required tailgaters to have a game ticket or purchase a tailgate ticket to get into the tailgate area. Tailgating is not just a walk-in activity now. They made "tailgaters" buy game tickets. Not a bad idea
Our attendance was high. Some tailgaters just did not come into the game. Plus, our students get in on their student ID and come in through a separate gate. The probably dot not get counted in attendance numbers.Outside of us, these some sorry homecoming numbers.

It was a record number for our stadium
I blame Southern. It's their stadium bruh. They are the reason the marketing does not lift to fill the stadium better. It took 10 years to set a record in a tuna can? Pathetic at best.
Yeah. I know yall would be at 50K plus if they made tailgaters buy tickets!!Would instantly catapult PV into ~20K #, considering Jag stadium @ PV campus capacity is 15K.
Lets go ask the Jags how they intend to handle this situation in their stadium on our campus.Jags, what sayeth thou?
You can't say that about A&M when they were paying $63 to get in the game and $1,000 for tailgating spots and $20 just to walk into the tailgating spot. They made lots of money.People cant afford to be outside like that these days! Everything too damn expensive
Folks added all tailgaters to their Homecoming number.Look at Norfolk
I am not mad at it. If they made them all buy a ticket, sounds like a smart idea to me.Folks added all tailgaters to their Homecoming number.
I need to find a college campus you can lock down during homecoming and account for everyone who comes in?I am not mad at it. If they made them all buy a ticket, sounds like a smart idea to me.
Somebody pulled a gun at the tailgate this year. Someone actually got shot last year, I wish we could only let ticketed or wristbanded people in the tailgate minus the kids. If we could boost attendance, generate some revenue and run out some people, I would be for it.I need to find a college campus you can lock down during homecoming and account for everyone who comes in?
That's why I'm not mad at AAMU locking down the tailgate area. I just wish they were better organized about it instead of last minute stuff. It keeps the rift raft away. They had metal detectors at both entrances and security watching the fence so they couldn't jump it.Somebody pulled a gun at the tailgate this year. We were tailgating right by where it happened last year. But the way the tailgate area is setup folks can just sneak in or walk up. You would need to rope off all those open areas. A lot of folks walk through the tailgate area to get to the game from the neighborhood beside the stadium. On campus, A&M can control it better, but I've been to their homecoming, and I can see where non-paying folks can still get in. I'm all for it, though!Somebody pulled a gun at the tailgate this year. Place a really tall gate around the entire area with a few entrances that have metal detectors like A&M to check for weapons and also scan tickets and it could work properly. Have game day parking/RV slots ready to show to enter the gates as well that should be pre-purchased with security at the entrance and I think this is all doable. Just takes a little effort and time to plan of course but it’s not impossible at allThat back area used to be fenced off as well. All we gotta do is put that fence back up
