T Jack played and coached in the SWAC, he knows what he needs to win. A lot time we have big players that are not athletic & not in shape.

How would last years Valdosta team fare in the SWAC?

I also believe after last season, Dishman is aware of what he needs to compete.

The difference in talent from the top-tier D2 programs vs the swac isn't as great as yall are making it out to be. It's more depth than anything.
Exactly…. Give me a D2 all conference or All American player over a D1 player with zero stats any day. With the portal out now… many schools arent even signing high schoolers… they have to go somewhere.

It's amazing how a small move here and there by PV causes a domino effect in the SWAC W. lol "They upgraded their athl facilities; we need to do the same." "They offered and are securing gridiron talent; we need to do the same." lol

Jan13th PV-COB will kickstart another SWAC W upheval. Brace yourself, SWAC W. 😂 🌲👀🌲

Stay on necks

Let me break this down in lament terms since every one is not understanding what I'm saying. I have nothing against D2 players. It's tough being an athlete whether it's D1,D2, D3 or NAIA or juco. What I'm saying is if I'm a coach AAMU has an OL named Carson Vision #76 who is a beast and expected to get drafted hopefully. Imagine having four Carson Vinson's on your OL. RT,LT, Guard and center. Who could stop your run game or passing game? If I need software program wrote on a six month contract why would I hire a mechanical engineer with coding experience over a Software engineer with an extensive experience? Of course the Mechanical engineer with programming experience can write the code, but the software programmer with massive experience can get more contracts. Just saying.

Where do you think Carson Vincent offers were from before he came to AAMU as a freshman? Carson was a 2 star with AAMU being his only D1 offer…. And its possible that he will be the only SWAC player this year drafted.

That's my point. Why not go after those type players. I have no problem with D2 players but I'm the SWAC line play is horrible.

TSU lost a d-lineman after the spring to Baylor, a cornerback started at Bowling Green and another at UH and Ole Miss - just lost a TE to Bowling Green and a D-lineman to UCONN - outside of the UCONN guy none were highly recruited out of HS but the coaching was good enough to move them up - but unfortunately our coaches get left behind despite doing the hard work so your doing the same thing year after year but it does get tiring as a coach waiting on a freshman to develop or hoping your transfer ain't a bust cause they were someone elses

Maynor came in with Glass so trying to maintain that level of at that position is rough - when he lost those receivers to the portal that started the downfall.

Yeah the Cheniss Berry plan will work in the interim but it's not sustainable. There are some good dudes at DII but they will get exposed, even in the SWAC.
