I’ll never understand how HCU/HBU is able to recruit with their limited resources. Unless there is something I don’t know.
Their current head coach was the recruiting coordinator at Campbell. He helped bring in top recruiting classes there with limited facilities.

Something suspect is going on at these private white FCS schools. Look at how Incarnate Word all of a sudden start running the SLC.

We might as well call it what it is. Campbell, Incarnate Word and HCU are able hide things a public school can't.

With that said, is it really helping them all that much? Campbell struggles to get winning seasons. The same can be said for HCU. Incarnate Word is doing their thing in the SLC, but I don't think they've made a deep run in the playoffs yet.

With that said, do you all think recruiting or player development is more important? I don't recall schools like N. Dakota or S. Dakota scoring high on recruiting rankings, but they make deep runs in the playoffs or win the championship on regular basis.

Campbell struggled because their classes (most recently) were mostly filled with highschool talent that needed to be developed.

The difference between the winning programs and those that struggle are in the trenches.

AAMU just signed the 3rd leading rusher in the state this year… (led the state in rushing last year in 7a) had a 397 yard rushing game last season and averaged 9 yards a carry over last season while rushing for over 1600 yards. We RARELY sign players out of Huntsville… so this is big for us. .. especially with Lee High being a mile down the road from AAMU.

I have an idea, but I better not open that door.
Bust the door open and speak the truth sir.

Their coaching staff is committed to winning, even w/ fcs subpar facilities, and they are VERY connected to land impressive and qualified student-athletes, especially at the OL and DL positions.

If I were a talented 18 y/o right now this very second, I would EASILY choose hcu over PVAMU AND sTu. Easily, mostly based on the unqualified and inept "coaching" at sTu AND PVAMU.
