The 2022 Southwestern Athletic Conference Men's and Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships will take place at the Birmingham Crossplex on Thursday, February 17 and Friday, February 18.

Alabama State's Men's and Prairie View A&M's Women's Indoor Track and Field teams claimed titles in 2021. The Hornets are looking to claim a sixth consecutive title while PVAMU seeks to repeats as league champions. {off topic} I don't go to the Texas Relays anymore. Haven't been in at least 12 years. And not because it is a "ghetto-festival", but because I just dislike dealing with the University of Texas.

As a matter of fact, a track buddy of mine who went to the Texas state basketball championships in Austin this year says the same thing happened at the basketball championships.. SMH!! Same dumb shit. SMH!!!!

austin has morphed to a cluster. smh Even at the HS bball finals the ignorance finds its way there?????!!!! smh
 



In the 90s/2000s Texas Relay weekend used to be huge. We used to head to Austin for all of the parties/day parties. When I was at PV, homecoming, springfest, beach party, Texas Relays, and the Greek Olympiad in college Station were the biggest college social events in Texas. But like the beach party, what starts as a college thing eventually gets over run by a certain 'element' and it goes downhill quick.

I watched the meet on stream, and the commentators mentioned that it was timed finals. When the commentators first mentioned it, I thought to myself, this is an indoor meet, what does the weather have to do with anything? Was it because of the threat of tornadoes, flooding, power outages, not safe for people to travel to the stadium, etc.?
