2022 SWAC Football Attendance - Week 1

Texas FCS fans don't travel much. The SHSU-SFA game in Houston is the biggest FCS game for both schools and they max out about 25K-30K. Last year SHSU is ranked #1 and they still never got to 10K for any home games (SHSU student pop. is 22K). All SWAC schools are smaller than both schools and typically draw better for their biggest FCS game and most had a higher average home attendance.

The blacks at those schools are only there cause they don't want to go to an hbcu and don't buy into their culture and the whites that are there can't be at A&M, UT, etc.

And to be fair, the best HBCUs in Texas are in the Houston area. Not all blacks want to or can leave far from home who live in other parts of Texas. But I do believe most of them are usually anti-black and anti-HBCU so i agree with you on that

There were at least 15k in attendance for the Miles game. Someone needs to take another look at the reported numbers.

But TP, in the past we’ve normally average 15k per game. The figures for the Miles’ game have been corrected to 17.1K.

I got your point. I was pointing out our past attendance averages per home game. Wishful thinking won’t make a sellout a reality. However our JSU game probably will be sellout. Are you coming?

Im trying to work that out. I REALLY hope so. My job has pretty much messed up Homecoming and SUx games but Im trying to wrk those out too. If I come to the Gump, I will only be able to fly in Saturday morning at this point. This is why my azz needs to be down south during football season.. lol
