I hope them guys that lost are real tired today. :D

I think this is where pitching depth will come into play. However, the way you guys got walloped in the 1st round, I'm not sure you haven't been sandbagging your pitchers. :emlaugh:

other thread was closed just when i tried to submit... but

Omar does this all the time...he just cant do it in the tourney...you dont beat good OOC teams and win your division years straight without being half way decent!

Why? And yep Omar gets it done

Every SWAC team would have tried that then. I won't say that is the only option at that moment.

Therein lies my point. Knowing which option to go with, at the right time and believing your guys can execute it. Remember we're talking a safety squeeze bunt that has to be laid down perfectly to have any chance of working (or you're looking at a game ending DP)...against an otherwise pretty good defensive team. Unless a poll was taken, you can't say every coach would try that.

I would have, it's a tactical game and you have to play what is given to you. It's a better play to score the tying run from 3rd than trying to get a sac fly. I bet Su was playing back and gave them that opportunity.

I understand what he is saying too, I can read between the lines. :emlaugh: You Jags are something else lol

This year team is battle tested and has taken it to the next level. In the past you guys was a big fish in a little pond and it showed in tourney play. We'll have to agree to disagree on this. But I understand well what SUjagTilliDie is saying.

Southern doesn't have a steady defense and is prone to making errors in clutch moments. Doesn't take a rocket scientist to setup a squeeze play with a runner on third and one out. It's not that difficult and it takes no guts to do it, especially if you have a disciplined batter at the plate.

.

It could be over confidence on his teams part because usually they have one the best records in the SWAC and pretty much blow thru teams in the season, I remember one year we lost because pitching just gave out so the next season he recruited alot of pitchers and the guys couldn't hit or field in the tourney...He just cant get it to come together during the tournament...And even tho I never like Braddy as a coach when he coached me his teams didnt have this issue in the tournament...
