2011 "Human Jukebox"

On the real.. Are you FN serious? Us SU folk ain't mad at this clip at all.... I know you heard the JSU upperclassmen footage running around.. Dacon would probably take a special trip to Jackson and kill everyone on staff after hearing that load of crap...

I could have been posted that footage.... But umm .. I think this may be the cue to roll that beautiful bean footage of JSU upperclassmen wrecking those marches....smdh...

You would have done better not even commenting on this thread kid..

Juke,
Don't even acknowledge that post. I purposely skipped over it. No way those clips sounded bad. Do they need some areas of cleanup......sure. All they need to worry about is that 3rd weekend in September when they have to roll to BR. LOL.

....and for YOUR information, your opinion means JACK over here. You don't even know how to put a band uniform on. They HAVE moved on with their life. They are simply passionate about the HBCUBs they ONCE gave their hearts, souls, and (other things) too. BANDHEADS post here. See you over on SMALLTALK. (who the HECK left the gate open?!?!?) Somebody escort this dude out of here.

What's up Frat & Square! Long time no post. Glad to see you are back around.

You right...It's still a working progress. Which is why I initially ain't say much about the other schools clips they have up. This SU clip is faar from the worse I've heard.. The season ain't start yet... so we pretty still listening to band camp.. I won't get into the what our band camp sounded like vs. this newer generation.. but as long as the shyt is addressed before game 1.. I'm good. Ima have a talk with the trumpet section leader soon. Real bright smart kid, very hyper kid but I know he will have that section clicking on all cylinders very soon...

Nah, bruh. I don't start to critique any bands until the week AFTER they have their homecoming. Everything else is pre-season.

Hasn't been approved for public viewing? :retard:

Apparently you didn't watch the clip because there is plenty of people sitting in the bleachers facing them watching. Some of y'all take this too seriously!

OK...let me clarify...two (2) points..
1) Leave some element of surprise. Not everybody wants to hear what the band/team is having problems with or needs work on.
2) You leave yourself open for "smack" fodder. Not only on here, but everywhere else.

Now I will say this...don't matter if folks were in the stands. They could have been by special invite...maybe not, but it is a privilege not a right to view certain practice sessions. Because you in America, don't mean you have a right to e'ry thing in dis hea biatch!!

I'm done with it....

The whole mistique about what will be played.. how it sound has gone out the door. Of course word will travel about what a band played that might be crucial... but to have it blasted all over the net takes away the real feelings when these bands face each other...

It should be a feeling of... " I heard about them playing this this... but dayum I ain't know it was like this"...

That's was made the bands before all this web pub. more interesting, the element of surprise..

If it was up to me.. I wouldn't let no footage of no band from the current year be posted on no site until the season was over..

I don't know whats so hard about that, if you really want the marching band experience to be back to what it once was..

For me I think the net has been a blessing because I personally want to see what is up with the group, only on certain aspects so I can know what is to expect because if I pay 30 dollars fora game is disappointed then it would make me feel upset!

I guess that's the reason they televise pre season football in the NFL, so everyone can see the teams practice?

That is not even relevant to what he's talking about. You don't see performers showing the audience their show a month before they're scheduled to go on tour. That takes away from the thrill of being at the performance. I've seen on youtube BCU's whole practice for their field show this coming weekend. That sucks for the fans. Where is the element of any surprise?

As a fan, I don't want or need surprise. I DO WANT INNOVATION IN DRILL and it would be nice to hear some different tunes, but that is secondary to EXECUTION. When I go to a concert (which is what this amounts to for a marching band), I want live performance at its best. The thrill is that it is live: no tape; no do-overs; no excuses. Otherwise, just play the recording.

I don't want to see bands or DM's dance. That is the job of the dance troupe and the non-dancers do such a horrible job. Singers and soloists can be great as long as the amplification is done right.

Jared!!! Jared left the gate open!!! He was the main one in all those other threads about JSU when Mark (and some other poster) was talking about us when we were sharing stories about crab years and everything. When we politely asked Mark (and others) to get the heyal on since they hadn't marched in the Boom...Jared told Mark (and others) it was okay for them to give their opinions.

Aint that right Jared?!?
