 lol Right... I helped purple haze Mr East's grandmother. :read: She's very, very knowledgeable about PV and it's relationship w/ sTu. :read:

FYI, the first sign Chucky being in a bind is when his eyes turn red...Saw him the other day at the stro's game and he's not looking to good. :swink:

Thanks to RT for discussing with PVA&M's AD about the game with SHSU...HF3 thinks he can take the game and he should feel that way.

It's going to be a great match-up of two regional teams with PVA&M knowing that a win over SHSU would really show the SWAC and FCS that they are truly ready to claim their spot on the map. So many still think of them as a losing institution that can't win a thing on the gridiron. HF3 is starting to change that mind-set.

Skbeeasy -- the SWAC is a Division I conference as well. How is it a drop down if Oklahoma State and Texas Southern are both Division I.

Now, if you are talking about FBS and FCS -- okay, you can call it a "drop down"...

Glad you brought this up..... again.

You're needed down the street to cut and paste this comment as well as reprimanding some of your buddies on the hypocrite board about the very same thing you bash posters over here about.

How is Sam Houston's O-Line?

From The Huntsville Item regarding the SHSU O-Line...

It?s been almost a week since the Bearkats lost a key returning starter on their young and inexperienced offensive line. Last Saturday, preseason All-Southland conference tackle John Dirk was lost for the year with a dislocated and fractured left ankle, leaving Sam Houston State with only one starter ? guard Hunter Schmidt

?The only problem is that the upperclassmen haven?t played a lot and are inexperienced. That is where we are and we have to deal with that. Hopefully we can stay healthy because we do have some young backups.?

I'm sure it's been posted somewhere on here by a Sam alum. He post every damn thing else.

Someone else posted it...you'd be surprised. SHSU actually puts a roster, two-deep and even posts when players are out for the season on their web site. Seems like a novel idea...

I know at TSU -- they're too busy talking about "practive" from 2007 and having broken links on their main page to the stories they are apparently promoting...Charles McClelland, I'm sure knows that the web site problem continues. Must not be accessible...

Hey broken record, when are you going to answer this...

Does anyone from PVU or TSU know about a Corey or Cory (first name) who played for Hightower High?

Hey broken record, when are you going to answer this...

Like the TSU web site, you didn't provide a working link...show me the information and I'll toot the horn your waiting for me to toot...

You better believe I'll bring it up if someone mentions. AGS does a pretty good job, though sometimes they post crap from uneducated people who use the old nomenclature or call us "Div II", which is okay because it's not them that do it...

No matter how the NCAA wants to put the nomenclature, it's still D1A &
D1AA, that FBS & FCS doesn't make it.

The NCAA just needs support from the schools and the conferences. The SWAC schools do not seem to be willing to buy in. I've noticed that many of the top tier schools of FCS are all over the proper name -- probably because they like the idea of playing for the DIVISION I NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP. :)

Lucky for the SWAC, no matter how many people think they are Division II (the Houston people are calling Southern a Div II school on their board presently), you guys are Division I and therefore get to take advantage of it -- or else you would not be able to keep your athletic programs afloat...
