Desire Street Academy was started in New Orleans a few years ago by former Heisman winner and Saints QB Danny Wuerffel (sp), who got inspired as the story goes when God told him to walk through the Desire.

Desire moved to Baton Rouge after Hurricane Katrina...and is located off of Brookstown between Prescott and Winbourne (in that old catholic church next to them apartments by Howell Park Elem).

I think Desire Street's been a boarding school as well..these are all New Orleans-area kids for the most part right now. It's a private school. Your statement about "we all know all high schools that are worth anything recruit" is asanine at best dude.

Parkview Baptist doesn't really recruit like we think the Evangels, and Curtises recruit in football and Southern Lab allegedly did and Christian Life actually did in basketball. Heck some public schools have been alleged to recruit from other schools, especially in school districts where minority-majority transfer rules under deseg orders are manipulated for athletic gains..or where school district lines work to a school's favor (example Woodlawn boys basketball..Woodlawn's district still takes in Mayfair).

There are some outstanding public school football/basketball programs in the state in all classes. Apparently you haven't heard of Destrehan, Hahnville, East St. John, West St. John, Kentwood, Washington-Marion (magnet), Peabody (although as a magnet, they have somewhat relaxed attendance rules), Amite, Independence, Sulphur and others...

Still can't believe Clinton lost last week . Coach Signator choked, but he does do an excellent job with the team.
