And your men's athletic department has not won The All Men's Sport's trophy for the last 32 years. (Talking about "traditionless." ) Those pitch black and yellow lens have some of you people as blind as Spears.

Clarify your statement, otherwise I don't want to hear it.. JROCK, just face it SU ain't no Grambling. If you didn't go to SU very few people outside of La. know who you are. The BC being nationally telivised has helped SU out tremendously. And yawl wouldn't be on that if yawl weren't playing Grambling and Eddie Robinson....... Do you think getting the contract with NBC had anything to do with the "tradition" of SU? I think not. It's been a joy taking yawl on the ride. Ain't no fun if the homies can't have none........ :rolly:

Don't get mad at JROCK because S.U. owns Gram, Ace owns Eddie and your athletic department is inferior. And if you don't understand my statements, it is because you matriculated in the country and you have piney backwoods comprehension. ("can you hear me now?" )

I see that you can't prove the validity of your statement so you resort to low level comments of which I will not stoop to. Football is the bread and butter and Su was in the SWAC some 20 plus years before Grambling joined and we still have more SWAC titles than SU......

Grambling does not lead the series against their SUperior. Your athletic department has not won more commissioner cups than S.U. during your tenure in the SWAC. Your football program attendance is consistently below that of S.U. Your SWAC titles in football and every other sport the last 11 years is below S.U. You all have never won or in some instance been to a post season in a few sports in Division I. What this basically means is that you all have an inferior product.

(But, you all have "tradition" )

So 11 years is all that you know about SU. I see why you are confused. Dude I don't care about a commissioners cup. That hasn't been given out throughout the history of the SWAC. In football GSU has the most SWAC Titles, right? I know. I don't give a damn about track, softball, golf, or if they have freakin' LaCrosse. Football is the bread winner. And since SU is lacking in football history you want to talk about a Commissioners cup that isn't even old enough to vote. When was the last time you went to a baseball, softball, golf, air hocky, chess, event in the SWAC? :lmao: Dude 'cmon

The 11 year reference was to show you a recent trend. I know you don't care about the commissioner's cup. It is called being a quitter. What you have done is loss all hope. S.U has a way of frustrating the inferior programs. Your skewed assertion that S.U. is "lacking" in football has as much credence as your perspective about football being the only germane sports and everything else irrelevant. If you look at the numbers, S.U. has won 5 out of the last 11 championships and been to 2 out of the last 2 SCG(s) while Gram has been watching the SUperior program on television. The defending attendance leader also has as of this date 7 of 11 games to be nationally televised in 2005. Again, Grambling cannot compete with this and you all are bringing up the rear.

(But, that is right........you have "tradition" )

9-0 and not giving up any points is a neat achievment, but remember what is going on in the fall of 1942; many schools stopped fielding teams during World War II, and athletic young men were, by and large, going into the service. This would apply to Grambling students as well. So it cannot be said that Grambling was playing against 'depleted' competition because of the war and that's why they won...EVERYONE was depleted.

Those who cast aspersions on the legacy of others are either desperate for a legacy of their own or jealous of their opponents' heritage.

Which one are you?

tbf, raised a good question of interest. When we joined the SWAC, I cannot help but remember all the negative things said about us and no one in the boot had heard about us. Individuals questioned our history, but I am looking at AAMU since 1912. How we did against the former Big Three

First meeting
AAMU 27 GSU 0 1941
AAMU 12 JSU 6 1948
AAMU 6 SU 26 1939

1942 Season
A&M 0 Wilberforce 13
A&M 6 Benedict 18
A&M 0 Lane 12
A&M 0 Kentucky State 0
A&M 36 Edward College 0
A&M 20 Alabama St. 6
A&M 21 Knoxville College 0
A&M 0 Florida A&M 32

It seems the NCAA does not have this information posted, for several SWAC Teams.

What ws the record for FAMU?
Maybe the ER museum will shed some light on this.

How many football SWAC titles does Grambling have? How many years have they been in the SWAC? How many SWAC titles does SU have? How many years have they been in the SWAC? :shh: I don't want to hear anything about indoor rodeo or fencing.....

Dude,

I am not disputing with you. I simply asked what poll had FAMU listed as National Champions.

I assume these are unbeaten teams. Were they UNSCORED upon also?
