Jackson State vs Grambling Game Update: 4:00pm CT





My Question is are the Defensive players overrated coming in, or are these Coaches and schemes just that bad and the players are not being developed and their talent is being wasted ???

Gram can't take anything for granted. Coach is 3-0 vs J State ,but 0-2 against TSU & SU teams that JSU have demoralized over the past few years at times .Gram seems to play up or down to their competition . They can go toe to toe with the top of the League , but can't separate themselves from the bottom.

Defense made a few plays tonight ,but needs some answers.
 
One helluva game ! I was glad folks didn’t give up hope after that NFL rb from JSU had that long run on us. When is he graduating from jsu! Sheesh!

Some of Us diehards give Mickey hell for a multitude of reasons but He has Us on the path to hosting a SWAC championship game for the first time in a long time. Defense could be better but we can fix that. Offensively We are not that far off.

It was good seeing Tigerpride again in the hole. Not making excuses at all just being a good JSU Alumnus/Supporter.

And he's RB3. RB1 was out with an injury
 



Always remember; Do not look at the outcome before the game and talk smack.
Focus on play by play with not penalties nor mistakes and hold your composure during the game.
This is how Champions are born. You have to outsmart your opponent and be more physical than
them. Oh; and when you are up 20 or 30 points, rest your staters and play your bench because
on that rainy day when you need that bench player; he will be ready to perform his best with ease!

17/21 & 220 yards & 4 td's & only 4 incompletions by Robinson. I would have thought a game like '24( opportunistic D/ to's) would be the only possible way Gram could put up 45. Although JSU Special teams did give up 2 big punt returns to #16(Wilson) deep into their territory, a kickoff return near midfield & then a pick inside the red zone. Killing you on field position.
 
having been apart of that game - especially in Grambling - weird things happen - but alot of times Jackson State tends to fire up Grambling in pregame out there and Grambling then puts their capes on lol

I remember in 2006 when a struggling GSU team limped into the hole and Comegy brought the entire city of Jackson with him - someone decided to jump on the Tiger head at pregame and 1 hour later its 35-0 at the half Grambling

another year Richard the PA Announcer damn near came out of the box in Mississippi to fire jackson's crowd up cause Grambling was putting it to JAckson
 
The band fan you say " weird things happen" at times in this game and Lockhart actually dropped two balls untouched & nearly handed Gram 2 turnovers their territory. JSU recovered them. A scoop and score or setting up short drives would have been in a long list of " flukey" things happen in the Hole. JSU-s QB did get injured in some odd manner though. Hope he's back soon & JSU was just being cautious.

remember one year the two goal line stands on the 1 yard line in Grambling - Grambling couldn't find a QB the part of the season so they lived and died on defense but did just enough on offense to win - a few weeks later Langston damn near pulled the upset off - but then Greg Dillon arrived for good in Dallas
