Alabama State at Prairie View A&M Game Thread: 2:00pm CT

Can PV's defense get a stop...or turnover to give us a shot. I say stack the box and make their quarterback beat us with his arm...

Bama St w/out their QB1 and they still pulled it out. They deserved and earned this victory. Congrats Bama St. Too many bonehead mistakes on our purple side smh. How many TOs did we have? 4? 5? Good teams don't do that.

4 ints with a couple tip drills. I loved how PV didnt panic & abandon what they do best & kept running the football only down by 10. This isn't like the 2023 PV that I was pissed at seeing in the SCG after losing 45-7 to FAMU . These guys can ball.

No defensive adjustments as the defensive was set for body so when they brought in the other guy, we should have been stacking the box to stop their run and force the new qb beat you with his arm.

+1. His accuracy was not close to their QB1.

But in the end, the coaches' job are at stake if they do not produce good results. Bama St all but gift wrapped us a victory and then "it" started happening. (brain farts coupled w/ the truth) We can hide the truth about our current squad for only so long. 👀

I underestimated the Panthers going into the game but after today they have my respect. Jackson has the program on the right trajectory and they belong in the upper echelons of the conference.

Go back to 2015 as every coach at PV has won games - the foundation is very stable as you have what you need to win as there's no need to underestimate the program
the objective is who can take it to the next level consistently which hasn't been done since 2009?

Sad body gets hurt the same way he did in 2022 and in Texas

We lucked out!
No sirrrrrr!!! Y'all had the better team and coaching. Good teams don't have 4/5 silly turnovers in a game and then shy away from the bread and butter which dominates: the run. Good teams don't have QB1 play as atrocious as yesterday's display was.

Self-accountability is important to us at PV. Bad coaching and bad team play by a bad team, improved from last fall, but still, we were not good yesterday.

The distance of victory of 3 points would have been greater had Body continued to play. That offense is tailored for him to excel and use all of his talents. Body's former HS OC was at the game and was blisfully surprised by our campus and stadium structures when we chatted for a few pre-game lol.

We are improved but we are not upper echelon of this conference. I vehemently disagree.

JSU and Bama St are the upper echelons. We are not anywhere close to that. That's why we sit at 5-3. I don't count that victory over a club team as a W. We haven't dominated a single opponent in ANY game and if you look closely at that 24-3 SU game, you will not see domination as that game could have easily tilted the other direction if SU kept feeding their bread and butter w/ a solid QB1.

Coach Jackson and his staff fucked up yesterday, like they jacked up against utrgv and rice. Coach TJack challenged us 12 fans + 100 federal workers w/ a freebie ticket to come out and support. We did our part. Coach TJack and his staff did NOT do their part. Take ownership of the loss on tomorrow's call, coach. Own it exclusively. It was your fault 100%. That's what men do, "DOG." We need bigger, stronger, quicker, better IQ DL, QB, DBs, OL, and WRs from the portal + better OC and DC coaching through the week, not just on gameday. Own it.

Forgot, limping STs play means we have shitty STs coaching and players.

Fall 2025 should be about improvement once deficincies are identified. Own it, coach.

I’m sorry side piece. I had to go with Bama State for my pick. Y’all hadn’t seen a team offensively like them yet, and I needed to see it. Nothing is guaranteed anymore brother. We at Thee scraping by without our championship QB. We out there running the ball like it’s no tomorrow. Lord willing we’ll see t jack in the vet.

PS… Andrew Body can’t catch a break man… hopefully that kid is okay.

Oddly, this is the 2nd time PV's defense has injured him. I wasn't shocked when he was injured because I knew our defensive players wanted to violently hit him and whomever in black & gold attire. The pads were seriously popping when Bama St was on O.

This was a game for us to be brutally honest where we are as a team.

I don't know why so many people seem to be surprised. But, that's probably because he was beating asses at Valdosta State, one of the in state teams that I always keep an eye on. Dude wasn't playing when he said he didn't only want to be able to compete in the SWAC... give him a few years and you'll see why he said that.

The defense didn't injure him, he did it to himself on that fumble (swac refs didn't call it) when he tried to stretch out and popped his shoulder out.
