The theater continues. One by one, the Senators who are against the BBB, get stuff added in for their state and they fold like a cheap suit. Susan Collins is the funniest to me, she always pretends that she does not support crazy stuff, they she folds like a cheap suit. Its not really folding, its theater for the masses. 🤣 🤣 🤣
That's not a problem. That is why they were elected by their constituency, to represent their constituents best interest. That is ideally how it should work. If the rest of those in congress were tending to their constituents interest the amount of deal making and compromise would cause the Big Ugly Bill to collapse on its head or turn into something barely resembling the original bill. Instead, the reality is most of the folks/men in congress are a bunch of cowards that have never had to exhibit bravery so it is a trait they don't have. Cheap suits that came in folded on arrival.

And many of them are going to get eaten alive when they go back to their states.

Chip Roy is in a district that will get trashed by the BBB and immigration. Only saving grace for him is there are not black folks in his district.

Texas is already set to suffer the worst under Trump.

I don't know what alternate reality many of the foreign nationals that supported Dump were in, but it must be hard for them to live with themselves now that the consequences have hit hard as hell at home.

Let me explain it....

When they heard Trump was going after migrants-they ASSUME (and we all know that that means when you do that) it was going after actual criminals who committed crimes.

Crossing the border is illegal and a felony. However REPUBLICANS more than the other party kept turning the other cheek to it for those who became cheap labor for lets face it red states.

But folks don't think of those folks who take those jobs we won't as criminals as they are not committing crimes.
Trump is sort of following the law but deporting folks for crossing the border illegally is not under the first offense for someone caught crossing.

Yes jail time is allowed and a fine. However due process is suppose to happen. That is where we are having issues. If he did all 21 million folks-we are not having these issues.

Because the court system for migration is so slow and long-there is a backlog in court cases.
Main reason folks are throwing fits is because so many of these migrant have been here and they REALLY fuel the economy. Nebraska won't exist too long without them.

They should have known something was up when Trump said get rid of 21 million folks. Where did that number come from? Migrants don't do census do they?

Yep, I just looked. Once I saw Kerville and Fredericksburg there was no reason to look further. People in Roy's district are no different than other republican voters down south. All of them can be reliably expected to vote against their best interest.

I may have posted this before or something like it.

He is right on many of his points. It was interesting to see how his thoughts and explanations held their complete attention and focus. I realized right after seeing them how I was reacting the same way.

He mentioned oligarchy in reference to the tax code. He has me curious about his thoughts on plutocracy with regard to modern America.

Good post EB, thanks!

What you are missing is that the republicans know how to message. As long as they satisfy the needs of their white constituents that they are better than other non white people, they will continue to vote, no matter how much they are getting screwed. Just look at the tax situation they bought in that the wealthy should pay less taxes because one day you can be wealthy and you would want to pay less taxes too. Listen to EB post.

They have convinced the majority of Latinos that you to can be white by supporting republicans. Those other brown immigrants are inferior to you.

They have convinced these people they are better off with more pollution, less safety regulations are good for them.

SPEAK THE TRUTH AND SHAME THE DEVIL!

Iran's Supreme Leader challenges Trump

On his official X account, Khamenei accused Trump of "exaggerating in order to cover up and conceal the truth," directly responding to Trump's claim that the U.S. had "obliterated" Iran's nuclear sites. The post also pushed back against Trump's earlier boast that he spared the ayatollah's life during the recent Iran-Israel conflict.

Separately, Trump declared on Truth Social that he is offering Iran "nothing" and is refusing to engage with Iranian officials, signaling a hardening U.S. stance. The escalating online clash raises concerns about the risk of renewed conflict between Washington and Tehran.

Last-minute changes to Trump's 'big, beautiful bill' stun clean energy industry (and Elon Musk)

The Senate is making a final push to advance President Trump's signature legislation with a flurry of last-minute changes that stunned Elon Musk and the already besieged clean energy industry while offering new support for fossil fuels.

The controversy surrounding the bill's energy approach is just one front in a frenzied final push. The price tag has received plenty of additional attention after a new weekend tally found that the bill has grown by nearly $1 trillion since the Senate took it up.

Meanwhile, a grueling final Senate push to approve the package cleared a key procedural hurdle over the weekend. Consideration is continuing, and an amendment process is expected to take up much of Monday before a final vote later Monday or perhaps Tuesday.

I know Latinos got to attend white schools while blacks could not in Texas. I got family who told me those stories.

And we can look at red states and how bad they are under Republicans. Yet Democrats are the enemy.

Nebraska going bankrupt because of immigration deportation.

I can attest to Mexicans being able to attend white schools. I saw it live and in living color.

Musk shreds Trump’s tax bill as ‘DEBT SLAVERY,’ vows to unseat Republicans who back it

He may have stopped openly feuding with President Donald Trump, but Elon Musk isn’t backing off his bid to kill Trump’s signature megabill.

The Tesla and SpaceX CEO unloaded Monday on the massive tax-and-spending legislation that Trump is pushing Republicans to quickly ram through Congress, labeling it a “DEBT SLAVERY bill” and calling out its supporters by name.

The uber-rich Musk — who spent around $290 million backing Trump and other Republicans in the 2024 election cycle and beyond — called for a “new political party.”

He even vowed that any fiscal conservatives who vote for the bill will face his wrath in their next primary races.

“Every member of Congress who campaigned on reducing government spending and then immediately voted for the biggest debt increase in history should hang their head in shame!” Musk wrote in a series of posts on his social media site, X.

Muskie has come around to the reality that those electric vehicle tax credits are history. The funny thing is Dump only has a problem with them because of Biden's association with them.

He also misread the room. MAGATS do not but electric vehicles. Progressives do. Now that there are more choices on the market he is going to feel the pinch plus his nazi salute hurt more than he could have imagined.

The house theater has begun!!! Their orange god will bring them in line. Remeber just like the Senate, after it was passed, mulitiple republicans declared they would not have voted for the bill if they knew certain things were in the bill, including bleach blonde bad built butch body (mtg). Let the show begin!

What's next for Trump's tax bill? Arguing House Republicans

WASHINGTON – President Donald Trump's big tax bill has passed the U.S. Senate, teeing up major changes to Medicaid and food stamps, extended income tax cuts, and new tax cuts for corporations, tips and overtime.

But it's still a few steps away from Trump's desk – and the route to get there will not be simple.

House Republicans are already slamming the changes made to the bill in the Senate, from moderate members concerned about cuts to Medicaid and fiscal conservatives who are concerned about the bill's massive price tag. It will add a projected $3.3 trillion to the national debt over the next 10 years, according to the Congressional Budget Office.

Trump Threatens to Arrest 2 Political Opponents in Same Press Conference, Hours After Entertaining Elon Musk Deportation

  • President Donald Trump threatened two left-leaning politicians in the same press conference on Tuesday, July 1
  • While speaking with reporters, Trump called N.Y.C. mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani a "communist," questioned his citizenship, and threatened to jail him if he wins the November election and interferes with ICE arrests
  • The president also pondered prison time for Joe Biden's former homeland security secretary, Alejandro Mayorkas, who was impeached in 2024 by the Republican-led House

President Donald Trump went on several tirades about former friends and political opponents alike on Tuesday, July 1, even threatening to jail a rising political star and a former Biden Cabinet member.

The Republican congressman seems to misunderstand the situation, as Donald Trump currently holds no real power; he only has a platform to amplify his voice. If the Republican congressman collaborates with the Democratic congressman, they could refuse to pass any of Trump’s bills. They also have the authority to impeach and remove Trump from office. It’s unclear why there is so much fear surrounding Trump when, in reality, he is powerless. Congress has the power, and in this context, it is Trump who should be concerned about them.
