AD Bryant said 3 weeks ago he was gonna hire by the end of the month. Well …. Maybe he’s helping the guy pack and move to HSV 😆

25 days and counting… at this point he better hire Tony Dungy or Nick Saban bc WTF AD Bryant. A month is way too long a search
In the words of Aaron Rodgers… “R-E-L-A-X” lol

It took even longer when we hired Maynor. With the transfer portal and extra eligibility players have now you’re not at the same disadvantage you would’ve been at years’ past. There’re a plethora of kids in the transfer portal, and even more expected in the Spring. Whoever it is will need to hit the ground running with relocating, staff hires, and salary negotiations. Let the process run its course. Rome wasn’t built in a day and I believe our AD is already thinking ahead of this.

Taking a month to hire a fired CIAA/MEAC coach isn't exactly something to feel good about

This is the biggest hiring decision in AD Bryant’s career. The AAMU football HC position has generated a ton of interest. He has to do his due diligence in vetting and interviewing candidates. All this tells me is that he has a big decision to make in regards to the direction he wants to take the program and which coach gives us the best chance of reaching those goals/benchmarks. I definitely wouldn’t view this as an overall negative given the names that have been mentioned.

The AD doesn't make a decision this big on his own lol

The president signs off on it, yes - but the decision and responsibility are the ADs. If the coach crashes and burns in year 1 like NCA&T’s coach did then whose job is on the line? This isn’t your typical HBCU administration where the president micromanages the institution. Dr. Wims has given Dr. Bryant autonomy to operate and they will be aligned in this decision, but this will be the AD’s choice/recommendation. Make no mistake.

Hmmm, thought McNair was a better choice but who really knows. Would hate to see McNair at Valley but only he knows what is best for him….
