My boy told me there is a post on Facebook about some people pushing for Cadillac Williams. What do y'all think about that hire?

Access to impact white kids is what makes you consistently FCS good - they already can get impact black kids cause we're so nice and love to integrate 😝 - unfortunately most impact white kids will go D2 than attend an hbcu

That is one of the things folks were saying in the thread. Someone in the thread said that he was also looking to get back in the state coaching so that he could have a shot at being a head coach at one of the other FBS programs in the state so he might be open. Who knows what can happen. Apparently he is from North Alabama and this is why his name was thrown out I'm assuming.

Y'all don't need him bulldogs; we need him to resurrect this thing and bring his entire staff w/ him (hopefully), all the way down to the admin assistants. 🤓

Why sell your self out & roll out the red carpet to those who would never ever consider coming to your school unless they are slumming with HBCU'S for a stepping stool job & those folks won't hire them? Thinking they are Gods gift to us down here. 99% won't turn out like Prime who brought a very loyal & elite college QB with him. Sometimes I believe there is something larger & these guys aren't exactly in homeless shelters coaching top HBCU'S ($250-400k or possibly more on side hustles).

True SWAC guys like TC Taylor & Rob Jr. are the final barometer for me. If they bail for PWI schools I'll then concede its OVER .

BOTH would be out soon as they received that phone call….. There will be no more Eddie Robinsons and John Merritts in HBCU football…. And do you blame them? If I have the opportunity to set my family up for life… you think Im going to remain loyal to a school (that will turn their back on me with 2 losing seasons in a row)

You honestly think... that if a G5 calls either of them that they're not leaving? Stop it lol. Let TC have one more year like this one and someone will come calling and he will take it. Aint no one in here that would turn down double or triple their salary with a new job. Instead of this unrealistic view, the thing should be figuring out how to come up with enough bread to make it worth them staying.

I think that's been established, but Simmons did try to transfer back to FAMU( there was some turmoil there) and ended up at Citadel. Broadway it appears played at UNC . L.C. Cole went to Nebraska. Rudy Hubbard to Ohio State,etc....so I take that big loss about hiring " outsiders" .


But I'm still wary of the arrogant superstars who had to come slumming & save HBCU's.

That would not be a bad hire if he can meet the vision of the AD. Again, I think AD Bryant will make the best hire. I am more concerned with the assistants.
