The idea of the University of Louisiana System's Grambling State University joining the Southern system has been discussed in whispers…





I wonder, if true, is this is a protection move for Grambling State to be under the SU System to prevent the Louisiana Board from messing with funding allocation and other things.
 
I have to find the link....it was a recent article and they wanted me to pay for a subscription. Basically Tony Clayton was stating that it would be fiscally sound. The article also noted how Clayton is against DEI.
 
Well, I wouldn’t read too much into this one. Some folks have a tendency to throw stuff out there and it never materializes.

Frankly, it is widely known that the state of La has underfunded SUS… don’t see it logical to add another school into an underfunded system.

Tony was playing lawyer word games….he stated he likes diversity, not DEI….lol
 
I think the political parties have used the term and programs label as DEI for their advantage, which ultimately ends up hurting black people (black people not getting the same amount of funding as other groups under DEI programs and on the flip side the GOP using backlash against DEI to target black people and HBCUs).
