Did Grambling Make the Right Decision

Yes smart choice!!! I’m sure they thought it out!! That’s why it took so long but I’m curious to know who he beat out! I think HBCUS are done with this pro football retired coaches I think it’s a win!! Plus he’s seen and been around a winning gmen team

Good hire. Louisiana guy who knows the state ( especially NOLA & Baton Rouge areas) & has a good reputation as a recruiter. Legal issues is the only reason GSU could probably get a P5 position Coach like Joseph. He was making $600k per season at Nebraska & I doubt if he was leaving for $350ish ( ?) .

We want known until the players hit the field and getting a few games under the belt. I do like that the new head coach is talking about leaning more on recruiting local high school players that are in five hour radius of the school rather than trying to go head to head with the bigger school in using the transfer portal. With the bigger schools leaning on the transfer port more and more that creates an opening for smaller schools to pick up better high school talent.

that's what the powers that be are setting the system up to do. unless the coaches at the FBS level feel like you're pretty much a sure thing coming outta high school, they'd rather you go and spend a couple years at an FCS program developing and getting playing time, then transferring up, as opposed to sitting on the bench at a major FBS school taking up a scholarship that could've gone to a proven player who's got some college game tape.

We don’t have enough snow on our campus for him.
He wasn't w/ the snow until "they" tried to get ahold of him starting his 10th grade year on varsity. THAT is when the change occurred. I tried my B-E-S-T to alert a few of what was about to come down the line for him but... smh Dummies ignored the probability of establishing a relationship early which could have blossomed into something special, imho.

Seems like a winning situation to me. If Rod Broadway, (a Carolina Guy), could bring his Head Coaching Experience & Skills to Grambling and win, then Mickey Joseph, (a Louisiana guy), could do even better. It would have been cool to see if Ed Reed (a Hall of Fame Name & Louisiana Guy), to coach a Louisiana FCS team, but I think Grambling might have made a great decision.

Ed Reed, he’ll no! He would have embarrassed Grambling like he did BC.

You never know. He could have outs Grambling as soon as things went sour, or he could have learned from his mishaps like he claimed he did and turned that program back into a monster. PWI’s give White Head Coaches 2nd and sometimes 3rd chances that often work out, so Grambling might have been fine with Reed. Mickey Joseph might have been the best choice though. He has been everywhere, brings a winning record as a HC, and has been around some great coaches in his day. Good luck to Tigers.
