Feeling like a down year for the SWAC

Yesterday made it obvious. I'm only impressed with FAMU. BCU and AAMU I'm still sorta trying to figure out. FAMU actually should've beaten FBS-opponent USF but costly mistakes at the end lost it. The only somewhat valuable non-conference win so far is against a slouchy South Carolina State. We already have 2 Division II loses, we getting stomped by low tier FBS teams like Toledo, Southern Miss, Vanderbilt, unranked FCS teams like Hampton, SFA, Tennessee St, ACU have gotten victories over us.

I'm honestly impressed with 3 teams in the MEAC. Morgan State barely lost to FBS-opponent Akron in the last minutes of the game and beat a top 20 ranked FCS opponent in Richmond on the road. Howard looks good. And NCCU looks REALLY good. And also it's important to note, Norfolk beat Hampton who Grambling couldn't beat so Norfolk may be of some decent quality.

December will be interesting, I'm always gonna pull for the SWAC but once again it looks like the MEAC seemingly higher level of play and competition is shaping them up to be the lowkey favorite in the Celebration Bowl. It all starts at the top, the SWAC needs better coaches

Yea we are looking weak out of conference, but few people care. At the end of the day fans will still pack the stadiums to see big SWAC games.
Man look here. I think the fans care which is why I see so much complaining on social media and on the YouTube call in shows but of course some care more about supporting their school, partying and good bands regardless of what the performance on the field is.

Also JSU attendance JUMPED heavily when they started to win so that right there let us know people care about winning. They always had a big crowd but winning made it even bigger. And I seen on Facebook, SU alums who are season ticket holders say they boycotting attending games outside of homecoming until Dooley is fired. Like people care and not all of them are dumb football fans who don't understand the game

And we been saying for years the SWAC needs better coaches so this another venting, nothing will likely happen thread. I think the SWAC may be cursed, even a former NFL coach (Hue Jackson) is getting out coached by coaches with no where his level of experience

JSU in their down years averages more attendance than anyone in FCS. Southern is playing 10 SWAC games this season. They mad they losing to SWAC teams. When Prime was at JSU they played ULM, Edward Waters, Tn St., Delta St, and Campbell out of conference. Only non HBCU FCS team out conference they played was Campbell. Campbell has been an average FCS team. Nobody cares for non SWAC games because we don’t hold our coaches accountable for losing them. Heck, Maynor said he gets paid to win SWAC games and he wasn’t lying.

JSU even outdraw some FBS teams in down years. Rice, Toledo, ULL, Texas State, etc.

Maynor coco self is on his way out the door. He can barely win SWAC games, see this the shit that happens when you aim low like he do lol. And since the 80s, the SWAC has not been a respected FCS conference. It's not because we can't attract talent ... we just need good ADs and coaches who know what to do with the talent. I feel the athletic resources are finally catching up at most SWAC schools but that's not enough to be a be a highly respected DI football program

No coaches in the SWAC expect to beat top teams in the FBS. They all go into those games hoping to get the upset, but once the game gets out of hand, they do the smart thing which is to pull starters to prevent their injuries and preserve them for conference games. Maynor's goal is the same as all other coaches' goals: to win the conference championship and the bowl game.

Now just a few weeks ago you had TxSo winning the SWAC. Now your tune is changing two weeks into the season AND declaring a down year for everybody? You just can’t make this shit up 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Exactly 😂 that’s not how it works. He always posting some bullshit though. He know everything about everybody else school & city but don’t know shit about sorry ass TXSU.
it’s comedy at this point. Him & that Atl honeybee be on the same shit 😂😂😂

ALMOST EVERY SWAC AND FCS EXPERT WAS SAYING TSU WAS THE DARKHORSE TO WIN THE SWAC. We had a lot of good reasons to believe this was our year but we were wrong. Don't act like you made predictions based on reasonable evidence that didn't come true

Just like i was wrong about TC Taylor being a good coach ... I take that back as well. JSU looks weak and just keep beating weaker HBCU teams ... I'm no longer a believer in TC. I really wanted to like TC but I'm not impressed with JSU's product on the field at all despite all the fancy facility and uniform upgrades and having the #1 FCS/HBCU recruiting class ... now go whine about that LOL.

You sound butthurt. What school you represent again? I don't think I have ANY pics of us playing whoever you all are.

BS… AFTER Watching Texas So give up 21 fourth quarter points to the worst AAMU team have had in years…. I knew them and Body was a fraud.

This dude in here sounding like them fare weather Bama fans I heard talking in Kroger's this morning talking about it's time to fire Nic Saban. lol Your team no matter who they are can't win all the time. It goes in cycles. HBCU football is moving forward. Today alone I have watched the Pine Bluff vs TNST game and watching the Clark vs Fort Valley game on HBCU Go. It's good to get to see 3 HBCU games this weekend. Our game live and these other two games. I love HBCU football period.

This is the mentality of HBCU's across the board. Too much incompetency in management and administration from top to bottom. Too many individuals are able to push personal agendas without accountability.

Yes, and this still doesn't make what he said wrong. JSU always had big crowds but they DEFINITELY were NOT drawing like that before Deion got there. Every team sees attendance increases with wins, that's not debatable lol. I'm betting many of you don't remember what Bama's crowd was looking like that year they lost to ULM.
