I wholly believe this 100%.

HBCUs, most of us, hired VERY INEPT, UNQUALIFIED, and grossly INCOMPETENT people to receive athletic staff salaries and allow for putridly abysmal behavior and performance towards student-athletes in all sports. Even some of the very unqualified head/coordinator "coaches" compensated to bring in the most qualified and talented student-athletes are not and weren't performing to acceptable standards; hence the OOC thrashing many of our schools receive annually.

Look at PV's current morbidly OBESE, untalented, willfully weak OL/DL, weak WRs, inexperienced revolving door and inept "coaching hires" the last 18 years as the supreme model. A total waste of $$$$ over a duration to produce mediocrity and below norm.

Texas fcs power rankings has the new top-3:

1. 6-7 y/o fcs iwu
2. 4-5 y/o fcs acu
3. 2-3 y/o fcs txa&m-commerce
..
..
N-1. lamar (intelligent to fire underperforming head coach)
N. sTu
N+1. PV (bottom, naturally)

PV has fielded a football team since 1920 and STILL cannot right itself to be a dominant fcs team, in-state.

First time hearing about this here. I wonder what made BCU a better option to him?

Probably looking at the super-quick successful results of Prime/JSU model? Perhaps?

One has to admit that was a hella' unheard of turn-around in too many areas in such a short period of time both athletically via on-field dominance, recruiting dominance, huuuuuuge transparency via televised-print-social medias, and incoming contributions ($$$$ used for too many upgrades). That model had financial donors of SU, PV (I was one lol), Alcorn, et al giving $$$$ to support the Prime/JSU cause, to help usher in and establish dominance quickly!

Prime left his marks... beautiful facilities/venues, remarkable transpo vehicle, visibility to the world, roadmap to success, et al...

That's what's strange to me. No offense to BCU, but seems like he wanted to do the same there. So, why throw JSU under the bus?

What in the hell are you rambling about?? You typed all that just to say PV hasn’t been recruiting good. Maybe those O-linemen you hate so much are the only kids who actually want to go there.

We never offered. He tanked in his interview. His staff suggestions were a bunch of highschool coaches.

Yes he isn’t the first. Unless he was Barry Alvarez at Wisconsin, he doesn’t have the resources to adequately do both jobs

West Coast basketball lifer with NO Administrative experience given an AD Title with no HBCU hires another non-HBCuer with no experience nor understanding of what he's about to get into already blasting folks - this won't end well

I don't see his motivation - like he's helping us lol

Ed Reed represents the black athlete who grew up poor but was courted by the white man because of his athletic prowess. PWIs indoctrinate these black athletes at a young age into a level of thinking that HBCUS will never be shit and never have shit. The crazy thing is athletes like Ed Reed finish with the NFL & these same PWIS tell them "hell no" to getting a HC position at their school...his bitterness has a bit of "these white folks told me so" in it..ijs
