That move doesn’t make financial sense.I agree with you about some of those games.
JSU moved a home game to Mobile. That in my opinion was a terrible decision.

I'm not calling you a liar. You asked me what happened to the 30K - 50K people at your stadium. I don't know (or I'm just not understanding the question. I'm not trying to be funny). And my response is I don't know. You can probably explain better than me.Mane...you something else lol. Why you calling me a liar if I'm talking about my home games lol.
Hes talking about the business side behind the classics, that's what y'all are missing. A 350k payout or whatever it is we are getting now doesn't make sense when you can host that same game at home and make above 1 mill.
That’s where they are headed.
If JSU is making 1 million a home game , why not just play all your OOC games at home and then just go on the road during the SWAC schedule
All their OOC games in 2023 are on the road with 2 being neutral site games unless they get rid of the game in Memphis and play a home game.
- 08/26 - vs SC State (in Atlanta, GA)
- 09/09 - vs Tennessee State (in Memphis, TN)
- 09/23 - at Texas State
one is neutral site. Saturday is our last time playing in Memphis until more money/ incentives are involved
According to statistics from the State Fair of Texas, game attendance was 55,231 in 2017, cementing the event as one of the largest among historically black colleges and universities and the largest Division I FCS football game in Texas that year.
We will see, contracts can be broken but that may be left up to the courts.
I was there for that game. Always a nice crowd and atmosphere.Black-owned businesses prepare for crowds on State Fair Classic weekend
Black-owned businesses are hitting their stride as they prepare for State Fair Classic weekend, which will bring thousands to south Dallas for the Oct. 1 game between Prairie View A&M and Grambling State University.
According to a study by the Dallas Sports Commission, the classic, played in the Cotton Bowl during the fair, has an estimated annual economic impact of $8.5 million for the area.
“The Classic State Fair is an important event for the city, but there’s also a great tradition for the State Fair of Texas and it’s something we’ve been proud to host since 1925,” said Mitchell Glieber, state president. Fair of Texas.
The original State Fair Classic game was held on October 19, 1925, in the Cotton Bowl between the Wiley College Wildcats and the Langston University Lions with about 5,000 in attendance.

Man, I hate that I didn't get a chance to link up with you and @Bewildered when we lived in Dallas and went to the Statefair Classic. I would have talked so much trash and fellowship. lol PV is going to take an 'L' this year. It's gonna always be that...
There is no "Week 2" Monday's press conference was the first of the season.Where's week 2?
That's his point @The Professor
You're a smart guy. I'm sure you know schedules are not set the same year the game is played. Clearly this is the reason why we are pulling out of the SHCThen why doesn't AD Robinson schedule it that way for him?

Yes but Robinson signed 2 FBS games in 21 when coach Prime was the HC. So if he doesn't like these games why did Robinson schedule them
Are we playing these 2 FBS teams in a classic where we are receiving 350k before expenses? You're clearly are merging two very different things
No. Coach Prime today was talking about getting paid what they are worth? Is JSU getting what they are worth in these games
. Help him Jesus. If it pleases you to think that he'd be willing to lead a charge for hbcu's, when it comes to money games, without our own house being in order then knock yourself out.
Finally he stops tip toeing around what he's been wanting to post. Texas state and usm are NOT beat down games. Those are both games we can and will win. The LSU's, Texas A&Ms, Alabama, Auburn etc (P5s) are the beat down games. So if they can pay Marshall 1.2 mill to get a beating then clearly they can do the same for us.![]()
