ND,
Lots of teams can boast about the above. I think the difference is the coaching staff along with those stars. What got you beat against South Carolina State is no longer a weakness. What I saw yesterday was FUNDAMENTALS at it's best. Props to JSU!
Naw lots of teams do not have that much star power and depth. Some of y'all barely got a 4⭐️ on your roster let alone 17 of em. We had several All Swac guys out this game and 2 more new starters and didn't miss a beat.
These 3 below (plus 2 other starters) were all out but that's where quality depth comes into play. Which is why I got sick of famu talking about their 3 little starters 😆 🤣 😂 😹

WR - Malachi Wideman 4⭐ (All Swac)
OL - Tony Gray 3⭐ (All Swac)
FS - Shilo Sanders 3⭐ (All Swac)

If JSU goes undefeated and destroys the entire SWAC, can anyone call them weak?

As someone said, it's not the AD's job to please non-SWAC schools but make a schedule that is best for them. If NDSU. SDSU, EWU, etc. wanna play JSU, do a home and home and not a one off money game

If they destroy Campbell like they did FAMU, that will be their eye opening games

… but they can’t turn down the CB if they win the conference.

And you want them to pack Veterans so the NCAA can take damn near 3/4 of the gate in the playoffs?

The definition of hustling backwards. Deion nor Ashley would go for that

For us, it’s also deeper than just stars. We recruit players with High Football IQ on both sides of the ball. THATS the difference. Just because Lil Johnny is a 3/4 star doesn’t mean a thing if he can’t read a defense or understand the game at a much deeper, faster, and higher level. This is why we have a few guys on the team with no stars that stand out too.

These other SWAC coaches haven’t caught on to that tho. I’ll give them another year, maybe two.

I understand and respect your post. However, you had all of that against a more physical and fundamental sound South Carolina State team. Don't sleep on the coaching that Coach Prime brought in. If you listen to Sheduer, he constantly compliments his coaches.

No we did not have that against SC. We brought in 60 plus new kids. Our weaknesses last year were addressed with recruiting. Both lines were upgraded, quality depth added plus new kickers. You're reading to respond and not reading everything I typed. I mentioned coaching in the original post you quoted.

Katron Evans 4 ⭐️ did not make travel squad and neither did the other 2 DL starters …plus the two starters that are being cleared. 🙃
