Art Briles as PV offensive coordinator?

I know the Art Briles to PV thing is a joke on my end, but you kinda sorta want to ask him if he wouldn't mind running the offense ... Art gets some image rehab and PV gets an OC that can score points and recruit in Texas

They were trying to get him at Abilene Christian but it didn't go thru. I would take him on the cheap.

Also hearing that some that initially left with Dooley to go to SU may be reneging on that and staying at PV (rumors).

😂😂😂

So either the AD didn’t land the guy he wanted or he sat there twiddling his thumbs knowing he was hiring him. Either scenario has put the HC in a bind. How do you participate in early signing day and you can’t officially tell people you are the HC? This month is moving fast so hopefully he can quickly interview guys for his staff and send them to recruit the players he needs for the schemes he wants to run. He may be forced to retain those who stayed. Even though this is absolutely horrible, I do hope they told him before today that he was the guy. That gives him a little breathing room.

Thank you PV for getting tired of Ashley Robinson (I remember) and sending him home. He has been around numerous hbcu programs like MVSU, DSU, PV, and Thee JSU. A man from lil ole Jackson Mississippi has cemented his prodigious legacy with a hire that has football fans across the nation in utter astonishment. I wish you much success in the future and I hope McDowell beats every team that doesn’t start with J.
I Dnt think they are as bad off as you are making it seem as far as recruiting due to timing of his hiring. He’s been building relationships with those Houston area coaches for years. I think they’ll be fine.

What to Expect from McDowell in Year 1 at Prairie View

"My first year as head coach, and I definitely don't take it lightly. I think it's a great opportunity for me to continue to hone in on these young men's athletic ability," McDowell shared with the media.

Optimism at Prairie View

Dr. Reed is optimistic about his football program and has a message for the alumni and fans by saying, "Alumni and fans and contributors support our program. Support the young people representing us in competition, and support the staff and administration that serve you and elevate the profile, tradition, and history of the university that we all support and love."

Key Players to Watch

McDowell announced, "Trazon Connley, he's going to be our starter right now. Trazon is 7-1 as a starter, and we believe that he can it done. Chris Scott, right now, is the backup [quarterback]."

Another player McDowell pointed out was defensive end Jesse Evans and how his work ethic reminded him of his former teammate and Pro Football Hall of Famer Michael Irvin. "Jesse is that same guy. Always in the weight room, does it in the classroom. Every time I see him, he's in the weight room and on the field getting things done to enhance his athletic ability."

Much ado about nothing.

Nothing to see here folk. New coaching staff, new players, new QB, all 11 weightroom facilities on campus are closed for maintenance, ...

PV has nothing. Give the SWAC W crown to Mr Ascot. 👍🏿
