FAMU declares itself ‘national champions’ after 9-3 season

Coach Simmons needs to stop that crap. If they don't want to follow the rules then they need to go back where they came from. Like I've said before, if they have a bunch of dummies running their school and programs who didn't know how championships work then they need to fire them. Coach Simmons should be talking to his team about how to play for 60 minutes.

How the hell can you talk about "Leave no doubt" and you begging/politicking for a playoff spot and claiming a championship because you couldn't score 2 more points in Miami or play in either of the championship games?

There will be 4 different schools claiming "Black National Champions" (depends on which poll used)

My focus is on the 2022 Football season. If the winner of the Celebration Bowl is crowned HBCU Champs then South Carolina State wears the crown. Is this going to cause an HBCU playoff structure similar to the FBS playoffs where the top 4 teams square off? My Rattlers dominated South Carolina State 30-7 and they did not score until late in the 4th quarter with a few minutes remaining on the clock. It is all JSUs fault.lol. They should have handled their business.
I did see an NCAA HBCU rating system that showed FAMU at #1. Maybe that is what caused the HBCU Champion declaration.

That FAMU loss at SE Louisiana was slightly more embarrassing than the Jackson State mollywhopping. SCST finished the season going 5-1. They have a right to claiming the national title as much as anyone else though their 7-5 body of work is ugly. I wish jsu would have just closed the deal to eliminate this quagmire. This whole thing is a hot mess.
