Jackson State QB1 Shedeur Sanders College Debut (ALL PASSES) || SWAC Football 2021

Glad to see these highlights. In my opinion, Sanders played well for his first time on the big stage. Once he catch up with the speed of the game, he will be dangerous. The mistakes that he made are very correctable. Don't sleep on this offense.

Josh Lanier is on a whole different level.

He did nothing to make me say he had a bad showing. The fumbles appeared to be the caused by the conditions he was playing in. He made most of this throws. They were safe throws.... but he didnt make too many throwing mistakes. Great 1st game for him.

So he WONT be a bust afterall lol
He is a game manager..... I dont think he is going to win you games by himself... but I think thats more on the staff than him. Dont forget our bet.... lol. Remember you said he would have more passing yards than Glass this season!

Naw that was probably Zo lol. We bet about the spring and fall games lol. Spring didn't quite go my way so it's a must we win for y'all homecoming or else I lose. I'm expecting that it will be a draw 😆. Regardless I'll definitely be there

they say offense sells tickets… but I’d pay again & again to see that type of defense! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾

No disrespect to JSU O but THIS is what I was most interested in, along w/ special teams play.

FAMU is a LEGIT SWAC power and that was a great showing by a very green JSU squad, considering what FAMU return(s/ed). Really interested to see the domination by JSU vs the SWAC East and a few SWAC West.

Looking forward to seeing JSU in the SCG vs PVAMU.
I am too!!

Deion Sanders’ son scores TD as Jackson St. beats FAMU 7-6 in Orange Blossom Classic

Rain dumped on Hard Rock Stadium at kickoff Sunday afternoon, and “dark clouds gathered on the horizon”, in the words of the Florida A&M chant, but the spirited crowd of 30,210 at the Orange Blossom Classic still managed to have fun as Jackson State edged FAMU 7-6.

Tigers and Rattlers fans showed up early to tailgate before the nationally televised game, which featured the college debut of freshman JSU quarterback Shedeur Sanders, son of Tigers coach and sports legend Deion “Coach Prime” Sanders.

The younger Sanders, wearing the No. 2 that made his father famous at Florida State University, played with poise most of the day and showed glimpses of why he was recruited by many of the nation’s top programs, including top-ranked Alabama.

He completed 18 of his first 24 passes for 221 yards with no interceptions and scored the game’s only touchdown on a one-yard run. But he had a few freshman moments – fumbling the ball twice in the first half, both recovered by the Rattlers.

“Shedeur was alright,” said the elder Sanders. “I was on his butt. I’m his Dad, so I know what he’s capable of. He tried to do too much early on, made a couple bad decisions and fumbled. At halftime, he told me “I’m done being Lamar Jackson (Baltimore Ravens quarterback who had a history of fumbling).’ I said, `Thank you sir, because you’re killing us.’ He made a couple freshman mistakes, but overall, 18 of 24, 221, no picks. I like that.”
