  1. Make an observation.
  2. Ask a question.
  3. Form a hypothesis, or testable explanation.
  4. Make a prediction based on the hypothesis.
  5. Test the prediction.
  6. Iterate: use the results to make new hypotheses or predictions.
Utilizing the method as you suggested, we are now venturing into the "test the prediction" phase with the vaccine rollout! I'll wait for the results afterwards just in case the CDC decides to finally acknowledge there is a more concrete and direct link to heart inflammation, and/or myocarditis. 🛌

So there was no testing done on humans during the trials? LOL

Yes, there are risks with any medication/vaccine you take, but some of y’all act like the risk of the vaccine are equal to or just as bad as COVID when it’s clearly not. There is enough data to indicate that the virus is not only harmful but deadly. Tremendously deadly. And we know that even survival doesn’t exempt many from long term permanent damage, something we talk very little about. These vaccines have been tested and analyzed and documented more than any vaccine in modern medical history. Do people/have people suffered side effects or worse from the vaccine? Sure. But millions of people have died and been permanently disabled from COVID. When weighing the risks, they simply aren’t the same or equally bad.
Hey Kenn! I was trying to like this 100 times but it will only let me like it once. Can you fix that?

While breakthrough infections aren't as voluminous as those of unvaccinated, to characterize them as "rare" is not exactly accurate considering there has been a significant increase in them over the last few months (and we don't know exactly how many because the CDC initially only began tracking them that resulted in hospitalizations or death.
I agree. with the original strain of covid breakthrough cases were rare, but delta has changed that calculus. If the cdc hasn't already updated their guidance they need to.
Vaccinated or not, you should be wearing a mask to reduce your chance of infection and that of others from you.

How was there not enough?

I want you to count to 50,000. Tell me if that's enough numbers to count.
Not enough of a sample compared to overall population and also wasn't long enough! No longitudinal studies were done! Good luck to you! Do you and we will do us!

So what about the 100 MILLION PLUS who have already had it?

The 100 million plus should have been enough for us to be out of the woods, but we are not!

What ever happened to herd immunity?

And why Is Israel-the most heavily vaccinated country in the world--all of a sudden dealing with significant increases in cases?

Can we rule out the possibility that vaccines are also contributing to different variant combinations?

Will we have to take a dosage annually to stop the spread?

Where do we draw the line?

You already know the answer to your questions

Georgia announced today that they expect to be at full capacity with no mask mandate. I expect much of the same from the SEC. Think the hospitals are strained now? Give it a month.

I'd be more concerned with indoor events like classrooms, basketball/volleyball games, etc.

Booster shots are not new.

But I would like to know your answers to understand how you and @2kool think!
Wearing a mask, maintaining social distancing and getting vaccinated are the current acceptable practices used to combat the Covid virus and its mutated variants. All three work together.

Been following this thread for a minute...interesting. I find people form opinions based on where the majority of their "facts" come from. Gave up my season tickets because I am not comfortable being out in big crowds again. A few points. Those who say vaccinated people are NOT dying with Covid or of the vaccine - I give you VAERS, the CDC's database for reporting vaccine adverse events. Granted, the vaccines do provide some protection - better than no protection. For some though, that protection comes with a great cost. What I find VERY interesting in this site (as of 8/13) - which I search weekly for the updates - is the most recently reported deaths related to Covid shots fall into a couple of categories: people who took the vaccines 4 - 8 months ago and DIED of "Breakthrough Covid" or people who died anywhere from a day to a couple of weeks after taking the shot. Not an easy site to navigate because it is raw data, but real. The query below only addresses deaths; there are over 17,000 reports of people being disabled from the Covid shots. I can post the link if you want to look at the data for yourself. It lets you write custom queries to tailor your result or you can just look at the results - which people have been reporting for Covid shots since late December 2020. BTW, Myocarditis and pericarditis are NOT the only serious adverse reactions to these shots. Call them "rare" or "breakthrough" if you like, but how many constitute a real problem? A 2011 report from Harvard (I have a copy and have read it) found only 1% of vaccine adverse events are reported. Until Monday, all vaccines were under EUA only - which means if the EUA goes away, non FDA approved shots can no longer be given. Ignorance is bliss, trust but VERIFY. The data is all around you but it's not coming at you from the "Trusted Sources". Our country does not have a great history fast tracking vaccines (see 1976 swine flu for an example). Why does the most advanced country on the planet only provide "happy, one-sided details", catering toward a particular outcome - taking the shot? We all are capable of consuming information and making choices from that information. Winter is coming; make sure you are not Vitamin D deficient among other things. You have to make decisions for your household. Weigh the risks, but know the vaccine is not the only answer to deal with Covid. Early intervention - don't believe me - get off Google and start looking. You might be shocked that not some so crazy people have very interesting things to say about this. I didn't say this, but it appears from the CDC data - that they are NOT sharing with you willingly, the vaccines have a shorter shelf life of protection than has been publicly reported. Vaccinated or not, it is not the time to assume it is safe to go about life as before. I'll stop here. Here is the link to VAERS: https://medalerts.org/vaersdb/index.php 1629903998092.png

Serious adverse reactions to the vaccine is less than 1%. Whereas, 99% reports no serious reaction to the vaccine. Do the odds.

Israel isn't the most heavily vaccinated country in the world. Its population vaccine rates are slightly higher than the U.S.

https://www.bloomberg.com/graphics/covid-vaccine-tracker-global-distribution/#global

Israel's outbreak could be explained by the delta variant and waning immunity (they began vaccinations around the time the U.S. did, which is why they've started booster shots for citizens).

Another big factor in their outbreak was the country lifting all COVID restrictions around June after really driving down infections (thanks to lockdowns and other measures) just before delta took hold.
