Old School Time HBCU Football Games

@wahines While you are looking, add this to your scavenger hunt. I've asked about this before but:

...back in 86, Delaware State created a video to hype up their game against JSU in football. Both were defending champs of their respective conferences.

The video was shown on BET a couple of times. It was during a time when all kinds of teams were during rap videos that emulated the energy from "The Super Bowl Shuffle.

As kid I just thought the video was cool and smooth for it's time.

Again if you can find it, hit me up....I was hoping by now it would have shown up on youtube or something. Maybe DSU has a fan forum that I can check out.
Oh and what is your youtube page so I can go ahead and follow? By now you should have a nice library cause I know you have been at this for a good minute. Much respect!

I wanna see Gram/AAMU 1990 circle city classic
No you dont.... as a Bulldog fan it will make you want to cry... I was at that game... I was 12 years old... Hail Mary to lose the game at the final second :(. I remember it being the first time I saw Eddie Robinson in person and that being a highlight of my trip.

I was in another part of the state, hooked up with some homies, and together we watched the game at a Restaurant. It seemed like AAMU had that game in the can, even within the last minute. Luck would have it that some Grambling fans came in out of nowhere and started with the noise talking. It was right on time for them cause that is when it all tied up and went to overtime. What a tough loss. AAMU still won it's conference Championship that year in another game for the ages against Tuskegee. <---Now that was classic. @wahines I doubt if you have that one but mane....!

That should be simple. Do you know how to rip the CD?

Most computers have Edit Video. It might take a while, but most computers can now copy almost any video into digital file that can be stored on any storage device, such as a mp4 file.

I can edit videos! I am now just looking for anyone with old games for me to add to my sight. Or if someone can upload and start a channel themselves. I do have a VHS Edit software.

I wanna see it to see Tracy Kendall play. He was right before my time lol

I was there also! That was the amazing 54-53 game at Tuskegee. They had Maurice Heard battling with Tracey Kendall! We would score then they would score.... all came down to a missed extra point I believe.

I remember reading about that game and these two wonderful players!

Man..... did you see that timely playcalling? Those quick-hitting runs? Traps? Wow...

Even the Ps/Ks looked like LBers back then lol.

Bruh, great video.

Have you noticed how football players just at that time period (late 80s/early 90s) actually LOOKED, HIT, and performed like a true football player vs the "finesse" prima-dona stuff we see today?

Strictly anecdotal. There are more 300-pounders playing football now than even then. And those players look bigger because pads were bulkier.

Now THIS game was a classic. FAMU pulled out a hard fought 59-58 victory in 6 OTs...that’s one game I’ll never forget.

I have been trying to get this game for years and finally got it. Enjoyed watching it again.

Thank you so much.
