Yet some of us still wear the shirts of these racist ass schools and tune in every weekend to watch them play. I wish our athletes wake up and see the light.

Three University of Mississippi students were suspended from their fraternity after a photo showing them posing with guns in front of a sign memorializing Emmett Till surfaced.

I took a visit to Ole Miss. They had offered me an academic scholarship. Walked on campus once and was like, man, just cant do it.
While I was in High School, my football coach took several of us to see Ole Miss play Georgia. Man just being on that campus made me feel uncomfortable. During the game the fans were waving Rebel flags and singing Dixie. I knew that wasn't the place for me. Never had a desire to go back on that campus. I used to drive through Oxford on my way to Grambling and only stopped once to get gas. I just feel a certain way about Oxford and Ole Miss.

Y’all, I know our schools profit from the “money games” with the Bamas, the Florida States, the Georgias, etc. And while my Alma mater and alum are excited about us playing in Fayetteville in a couple more years, this crap here is why I don’t care for pwi’s, especially the ones with a RICH historically racist background! And God forgive me, but I have a lot of apathy, and lot less empathy, and even less sympathy for Black athletes that attend these racist schools like Ole Miss, Arkansas, LSU, whatever!

I’m so for our young Black brothers getting their education and I’m very happy and proud when our children are able to rise above their socioeconomic circumstances and earn their education. But it’s hard for me to really be happy for you when you knowingly go to a school that only accepts you because they’re required by law to accept you and is trying to meet their ethnic quota. It’s hard for me to sympathize with you when you knowingly accept offers from these people who condone the racist behavior of their faculty, students and staff, have the nerve to talk about how “you won’t make it at an HBCU”.....but look around for all kind of understanding when the racists kick you out for bad grades or when your athleticism starts to bottom out!

And for these schools to say, “These students do not reflect the thoughts, actions, and ideals of this school and its administration” is pure bulli$ht! A suspension from their fraternity? Seriously?! GTFreakOH!

I agree with you, but think about our jobs. We accept the same things from the companies that we work for. Some of the companies have a racist past and only hire us because they are meeting quota's in order for them to get contracts. I guess it's a game we all have to play whether we like it or not.

I guess I never thought of that because I can honestly say that I've never worked at any facility that I knew was notoriously racist. I've been blessed and can honestly say that every job I've ever had had a very, very diverse employee population, and several places I worked had Black supervisors/managers. I'm a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist. I've worked at Arkansas Children's Hospital, Baptist Medical Health Hospital (LR and NLR), and Saline Memorial Hospital. I worked as a Quality Assurance Laboratory Analyst for Coca-Cola Enterprises, Inc. I worked as an Industrial Hygienist and BLS Instructor for the Arkansas Department of Labor. My first job out of UAPB was a Laboratory Technologist for AccuPath Medical Laboratory. I currently work for the Federal government. Each of these jobs, pertaining to my job description, did not require the need for contracts.
As far as Affirmative Action, I understand that because of the racism and inequality that was so prevalent.
