Art Briles is a nonstarter for almost any college program outside of maybe Liberty (which has kind of shown it doesn't care at all), and especially any major program. He couldn't even take a job in the CFL without the world descending down in protest. There is no way he could show up on someone's campus without a firestorm.

Hopson signed a 4 year extension before the 2018 season start. He is there until 2021
