I want to pick the brain of the members on here to see if we share the same thoughts.

This series is called "Being An A.D."

You will put on your A.D. hat (since some of us think we can do a better job than the ones that are in position)

So I will present tasks (question) that an A.D. is responsible for doing.

I don't know the whole job scope, so please don't be an ass and be on some "Man they don't do that" This is just a thread, chill

Uhh...you can't demand that we not be "an ass" to call you out on something that has nothing to do with being AD. We can't be held accountable for you not knowing what an AD is responsible for. The best kind of fan is an educated fan, and if you can't be humbled enough to be informed on what an AD does and doesn't do, then this thread is pointless.

Man lock this thread,

Instead of answering the question, you state this.

Lock this thread. Smh

I'll play along.

FAMU
Jacksonville State
Tuskegee
Memphis
Aside from the conference games I would keep these schools in yearly rotation:

  • Tennessee State-Home and Away Series
  • Have Tuskegee & Miles rotate in being our guest for the Louis Crews Classic
  • As much as I hate them, yeah, Jacksonville State, UNA, or Chattanooga-Home and Away Series
  • I don't like money games but if we just have to- UAB,Vandy, MTSU, and the funds are staying in Athletics if I had any say so.....
Note: while our attendance has never been the best, it has not been the worse either. In fact, if you just go back and look at the attendance records of many games with these opponents, they have brought in reasonable numbers...fans/alumni don't have to travel too far...yeah I made it real simple...

The best and worst attendance numbers can be miles apart. That's not saying much at all.

You could've googled it.

SOUTHERN JAGS:
- Florida A&M (Home & Home Series which will be re-established in 2019). In the future, maybe they could play a neutral sight game like in Mobile.
- North Carolina A&T or Winston-Salem State in rotating years for the new Pete Richardson Classic that begins this year.
- Group of 5 opponent from the Sun Belt, Conference USA or the American Conference.
For Example: UL Lafayette, UL Monroe, South Alabama, Tulane or Rice. All of these locations aren't far from Baton Rouge and some of the cities have strong alumni bases for Southern.
- Homecoming opponent could be Texas College, Lane, Miles, or Clark-Atlanta

ALABAMA A&M
- University of North Alabama (That's already in place for a couple of years). Both teams are separated by 75 miles.
- Tennessee State ( A&M can be the John Merritt Classic opponent ONLY if Tennessee State agrees to play in Huntsville the next season)
- Group of 5 opponent from the Sun Belt or Conference USA like UAB, Georgia State or TROY
- Renew old SIAC rivalries with games against Fort Valley State, Clark-Atlanta or even Tuskegee.
*Scheduling Tuskegee will be tricky because the Golden Tigers can't have too many D1 opponents on their schedule if they want to go to the postseason. So I would try to schedule them down the line in the future since Alabama State currently has a 4 year deal with them.
