Coach Spears made sure my friends had food & other essentials when they were stranded in Baton Rouge after Hurricane Harvey. That is stand up in my book.

Still a legend. He chose to be each stop he had just like he asked to come to JSU. He could have gone many other places than JSU and Belhaven. We hired him to be OC The belhaven offense was putting up 500 yards per game but the defense was trash. JSU has a defense and now we have an OC and possibly 2 new candidates for starting QB.

And he's STILL an upgrade over Fred McNair and any coaches on that staff.
