I thought of Sage Steele. That's the Obama daughters in a nutshell. Look at their father and how he ran the country. Yes he acknowledged his blackness but he didn't only focus on it. More of an all inclusive/don't limit things to race mindset.

Man I was going to ask if your wife was pregnant....man ain't nobody going to date your daughter. One look at your big black ass and they will run away. My high school classmate's dad played pro football and EVERYBODY was scared of dating his daughter. She is freaking beautiful!!!!!

Well to be fair isn't that what the President suppose to do? We can't really call them Sage Steele because we have yet to hear either of the daughters speak.

IMO he went out of the way to do so that in some areas we (black people) got the short end of the stick (Ferguson/Baltimore, HBCUs, etc.)

I don't think we will hear them speak until they're finished with their Ivy league education (the irony is that one of Trump's daughters is doing this right now starting law school this year staying mostly out of the lime light)

Yet he did what no other president ever even attempted to do. Prison reform.

And I have more respect for the Ivy leagues than these other schools black folks send all of our best athletes to (Bama, Ole Piss, LSU, ect).
 
ain't many of us in that circle unfortunately. Like someone said, the environment they're in forces them to look elsewhere unless the parents take over and history suggests we will assimilate faster than lightning if we're not raised properly in certain environments.

If they find a common joe off Malcolm X Boulevard would that person be well-received?

Do they live off Belmont Road in mansions and participate in that micro circle of politics?

when "we" are of a certain status you don't see us participating in everyday issues for us. You see in middle class to upper middle class blacks. Parents who went to HBCUs raise their kids in a nice area but there's a limited social circle for us, those kids gravitate to other races and HBCUs ain;'t even an afterthough...but the other race kid can be raised in hoods or whenever but once you put state PWC in their head that's all their focusing on.

Im just saying if she wanted a brother, she could have found a brother. Lets call a spade a spade. We don't give athletes that excuse and neither should she.
 
Obama's mother was white. All of us love our mothers, so why would he hate women who look like his mother? The better question is would you deny your mother if she was white in the name of blackness? Not taking sides just being real. My parents were all black so I didn't have to deal with this. My mixed friends do.

athletes are a different breed, why even compare them? some don't even realize the things they do cause they don't know.

In this case, she has to know but you don't know how much access we (AA) have to them. Parents at times can be funny about who to expose their kids to.
