2017 Football Season Predictions

JSU 6-5. A 3 game improvement. We may start the season 0-3 then go a 3 game winning streak before finishing the season 3-2.

Need to see improvement on the OL and QB play. Also, we need a good run offense to control the time of possession. WRs need to catch the ball! Can we at least average 4 yards on first downs? Thank you. Easier to convert on 3 and 6 verses 3 and 7 or longer.

Defensive line and LB's will have to dominate the line of scrimmage. Defensive Backs can't get beat on the deep ball.
 



A&M, 6-5! We will probably begin the year 0-3 or 1-2, but my prediction has us starting 0-3. If we win one of the first 3, we will be 7-4 or 8-3. QB play will determine if we represent the East in the SWAC Championship. We will have a much improved defense, good O Line, and more depth all around in general. Spady will get a one or two year extension because he is now being provided the resources to become successful.

Improved defense means the offense won't have to score 40+ every game to win.

We have a senior QB under center

Folks will be pleasantly surprised to see our offense keep the ball rolling despite losing Tillery and Quinn.

Improved special teams play

6-5 at minimum.

Anything less and he, his staff and the AD should be exiting the door, 2 by 2!

I think we drop 1 or 2 swac games plus utsa and usm. I dont know what to expect however. Defense should be improved though.

Yes, I will be very surprised to see that.. and that is a football comment not smack. You will have a lot to replace with the loss of those two but you are coming off of a pretty good season that you can probably build upon. Also, you had those two and only won one title with them. You didnt do much with them the next 3 years.

We just dont know where we stand. Given that it's a lot of sorry teams in the conference, we could end up at 9-2 but also given that we still have some questions at key positions, we could end up at 2-9. I don't think JSU fans will accept anything less than a trip to Houston this year. It will be an interesting season. Maybe last year was to lay the foundation or maybe last year is who we are. Only time will tell.

A 2-9 JSU.....TP I bullshit about asking how the SEC Coach is doing but...come on bruh unless yall are going through some "Doug Williams Second Time Around Shit" I don't see 2-9.
 



If we add a couple of pieces that are rumored to be on there way, we have a very good chance at a 7 win season. Our record last year was not an indication of things to come because we showed competitiveness in most games. The freshmen had some really productive campaigns and if the incoming class can be as effective I see only good things ahead of us.
 
Unless something drastic occurs, PV will go 3-0 OOC.

PV's IC hurdles are GSU and SU. The ONLY way we can go undefeated is by controlling the LOS on O and D. Our OL will return to 2-years ago form so expect some high scoring. :) I'm slightly concerned about our DL but I do believe we have enough in place to make the right push to control the D LOS.

We went to two SCGs with those 2. LOL. Half of their career. The last year we were the second best team in the conference behind Gram. We lost to nobody but them. We were in contention each year until the end of the season. But we didn't do much with them? TP, you really need to stop. You make no sense at all. We got a great nucleus coming back.

Bruh, in all seriousness, we recruited/built to compete vs the state of Louisiana, and across the board. There's way too much @ stake and too many eyes are keeping a CLOSE watch on what occurs about Blackshear field.

Fall 2016 games vs the 2 D-I FBS schools spoke volumes to coach and staff.
