Former NFL RB Joe McKnight shot and killed in Louisiana

The man shot McKnight more than once, the witness said. She said he shot McKnight, stood over him and said, "I told you don't you f--- with me." Then the man fired again, she said.

1. If Gasser stayed in his car and shot McKnight (given McKnight was standing outside Gasser's car then I could see self defense)
2. Both men were out of their cars and I could see self defense if McKnight tried to attack Gasser and then McKnight shot him.
3. By Gasser standing over McKnight and shooting him a second or third time...that's murder.

Word going around that he's a retired JPSO.

Road rage that went wrong. Dude had no business shooting McKnight. Whether it was from the car or outside the car.

Some people aren't realizing that Joe McKnight was not killed in New Orleans proper. He was killed on the West Bank in Terry Town. That's Jefferson Parish, not New Orleans or Orleans Parish.

I really can't say I see that it matters one way or the other.

There's a jurisdictional difference, but the main one for me is that Harry Lee's folks are the same folks that forced folks back into New Orleans after Katrina at gunpoint on the downtown bridge. Dem Harry Lee's boys investigating this. Might as well get that no true bill from the jury right now.

I don't think there's anybody from Louisiana that doesn't understand that. The real issuesv is they've admitted to having a relationship with the deceased which by right they shouldn't be doing the investigation at all because anything they find can be thrown out.

They should've recused themselves from the investigation when they said McKnight's stepdad was JPSO

That's the kind of back handed shit they do to mess up the case while pretending they are trying to get a conviction . We shall see

Wait WTF....how is it manslaughter when you stand over a man AFTER shooting him twice then you shoot AGAIN.

SMH

it has been reported that they found 3 shell casing in the shooters car, indicating that he shot and killed mcnight while he was in the car and mcnight was standing beside the passenger door. they think the witness was lying.
this also happens at the same time that a jury here in south carolina can't get a conviction of a cop with video so, all things working together produce an easier charge to get a conviction.
