I like how they incorporated the Jaguar Head on the field. Hopefully we can get some clean uniforms to go with our clean field. More combinations to. With different Helmets to. Lol.

Not to say the stands don't need a good pressure wash, but SU is in the south. Eventually every stadium in the south would need a good pressure wash. It's the nature of the beast for being in the south. I've never seen exposed concrete cure black before. The chair in the background in the picture below is almost the same color as the concrete behind it.

If you look at the black spot by the chair, it looks like that's an area where there is water runoff from rain.

I'm pretty sure it is. And rainwater in Louisiana/the South carries a lot of dirt and debris that stains and darken concrete, which could be easily washed away with a good pressure wash.

As with all facilities in the Southeastern US, you have to pay close attention to mildew, mold and other environmental issues that can make your stadium or home look bad.

@JAG89 don't forget about all of that pollen too getting washed in there with the rain too.

Most of what you see trapped in the pores of concrete is dirt, which is why it is not a bad idea to paint some exposed concrete surfaces. They are always pressure washing the roof of the Superdome.

The new title of this subject " Pressure Wash".

Just give it 5 to 6 years, those new stadiums would be added to the pressure wash conversation too. LOL!!! Rainwater carries a lot of impurities that would turn any light color surface such as concrete black if it is dirt, orange if it is rust, and whitish-gray if it is some element like magnesium.

Nah Blue ain't hooking up nothing like that. I ain't trying to have a juke rebellion on my hands.

I doubt if you would get a juke rebellion. I really like the jazz version that they play. Some us old heads from the early to mid 80's remember the Chester White (RIP) version, which also had a jazz version. I remembered when I was in school, I used to program my HP 48GX calculator to play the fight song in its beep command. It took me a while to program every vibration frequency, duration, the word 'BEEP', and every pause/rest with its own duration into my calculator. Also, I would put into the program the number of times to repeat the fight song from what musicians call the vamp and how to end it. I was always trying to find ways to mix music with science. LMAO!!!

Shoot we were just glad the band actually had an arrangement of it, because we used to sing it all the time. lol

I believe it might have started back in the 70's or maybe in the 60's, but the band/crabs would always march around the campus singing it. We primarily sung the Cheater White version just to get on his nerves, especially when he had to ride the crab bus and he only had 1 good goddam nerve and we stayed on it. We would keep the bus driver laughing all the way to where we were going. And all I can remember hearing him saying, "I'm going to put your mf'ing ass on bus mf'ing 5 next time", which meant you weren't going anywhere since the band only traveled with 4 buses at that time. LOL!!!

Jags, that stadium looks hella' tight w/ the new field and color scheme of the field. Proud for you guys (seriously).

Any thoughts on some type of painted/tinted sealant for the concrete facade? IMHO, that's the ONLY thing that's lacking. Congrats again.
